I was having a beer the other day and I got to thinking.  Women always say the worst pain a person can go through is child birth.  Men, not knowing anything about childbirth, will say the worst pain they can feel is getting kicked in the nuts really really hard.  However, after a year or so after a child, a woman is likely to say "You know, it might be nice to have another baby."  A man will never, ever say "You know, it might be night to get kicked in the nuts again."

Aww my son wrote a cute apology, I'm sure the world wants to hear all about it. Stick it in a scrapbook lady, the world doesn't care.
/I am sure they care about my post tho'

Then his mother puts the apology on the internet. Thanks mom.

So glad I grew up before Facebook existed and parents thought it was acceptable to forever plaster all the "cute" things their kids did on the internet where they're sure to come back and publicly embarrass him/her one day.

I have been told by a female doctor that twisted testicles (testicular torsion, technically), and the resulting blood flow backup, is worse than childbirth.  While there is no way to truly find out, I would bet she's right.  I have never heard of a woman in childbirth bending out the gurney rails, but I did when I had my ailment.

/The nurse finally gave me pain killers at that point.

I apologized to my 15yo son that he didn't have a brother to pinch his nuts when he was younger. It might have taught him a few lessons. Who doesn't have boys under 1O that don't do the rudest things to each other. It good for their soul, I tells ya.

That. There's also some evidence that a large number of women experience PTSD after childbirth (and post-partum depression and infantcide may be one result of that), and I've never heard of that happening to guys kicked in the nads.

How do you pinch someone in the nutS? I can see pinching just one nut, but both of them at the same time? There's just no way. The skin of the scrotum is very loose, and the testes are very slippery in there. In order to pinch both nuts, you would either somehow have to steady them against each other (damn-near impossible), or use the entire length of the thumb and forefinger, get the nuts to line up straight and pinch them using the whole digits.

Unless he pinched one nut then the other in two separate pinches, I'm calling shenanigans.

2013-04-10 12:37:43 PM
Between damage done to the nuts, kidney stones or migraines, I honestly cannot pick one over the other in regards to the worse pain, I consider each one unique in it's own spectrum of nasty pain.

But at the hospital for kidney stones, a woman that was in the same room, was there for the same thing, and she stated that between kidney stones and giving birth, the kidney stones were much worse and she'd happily give birth before having more stones.

My nurse told me the same thing about gallstone pain.  At least my gallstone episodes only lasted 4-5 hours, and labor can go on for like what 12-36 hours?

What should have been a nice simple thread about terrible parents oversharing on Facebook has turned into a "is giving birth really painful?" thread?  Man, bummer.

You have to incorporate this into your thinking:

Once they have them, most women LIKE their babies.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Let me try an analogy: Let's say there was a woman who just loved to kick men in the nuts and she offered you this deal - if she can kick you in the nuts on new year's day, she'll blow you every other day for the rest of the year.  Would you do it?  Do you think there are men who would take that deal every year if they could?
