I've lived in Arizona for over 8 years and met 1 real cowboy. Whole bunch of folks wearing Stetson's, but would know a steer from a cow! Another Tea Party tard!

In fact, perhaps a better name for their group would be "tard party".

Really?  This guy is interested in bullet proof vests for him and his colleagues and this is a scandal?  Granted, the vest seller probably shouldn't be doing business in the basement of the capital, but this is hardly a big deal.

I mean it's not like politicians are getting shot at or anything.

He aint no cowboy. Real cowboys rarely wear those hats. They're just for posers.

These "patriots" love America soooo much they can ignore proper flag etiquette:

"The Flag Code, which formalizes and unifies the traditional ways in which we give respect to the flag, also contains specific instructions on how the flag is not to be used. They are:
The flag should never be dipped to any person or thing. It is flown upside down only as a distress signal. The flag should not be used as a drapery, or for covering a speakers desk, draping a platform, or for any decoration in general. Bunting of blue, white and red stripes is available for these purposes. The blue stripe of the bunting should be on the top.The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyardThe flag should not be used as part of a costume or athletic uniform, except that a flag patch may be used on the uniform of military personnel, fireman, policeman and members of patriotic organizations. The flag should never have placed on it, or attached to it, any mark, insignia, letter, word, number, figure, or drawing of any kind. The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything."

But I love their response.  Not to make it harder for crazy people to get guns, on the types of guns/ammo, etc.  No, the response is clearly bullet proof vests, armed guards, and more of the public to carry guns with no sort of training, certification, or background checks.

FTFA: ...a bill he withdrew once somebody explained to him that it was blatantly unconstitutional. He's a Tea Party guy who ran on a platform of protecting the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law.

how embarrassing

In any decent society, he'd be expelled.  Only in 'Muricuh can somebody get a job, demonstrate complete ignorance of the job -- like, say, the foundation of the laws he's supposed to be enacting -- and be allowed to keep the job.

Sadly, most of his constituency were too busy wanking off to the latest issue of Guns & Ammo to even consider that he might have done something wrong.
