One lawmaker present at the session, Rep. Steve Southerland of Florida, said Cheney wore a cowboy hat and "looked really good

Did you hold his balls? Did you swallow?

Southerland said Cheney spent about 10 minutes in the GOP leadership meeting Tuesday, and didn't give any specific policy recommendations or critiques of how the Obama administration is handling the situation in North Korea.

Alrighty then.

Had a sweet cowboy hat though. The danishes were pretty slammin' too.

His specific policy recommendation would have been very helpful. We would have known what the worst possible course of action is.

If we want li'l Kim out of the way we should just invite him on a hunting trip with Cheney.

  2013-04-10 09:05:27 AM
Because when faced with the possibility of full scale war with a dictator, I always ask myself "What would Dick Cheney do?".

  2013-04-10 09:06:06 AM
Philip Francis Queeg: what the worst possible course of action is.

Listening to Cheney is always going to be #1 on that list.

I like it!  Plus, I love Korean food, and Un looks so plump and tender!

Hopefully it means that Cheney is smart enough to realize that he isn't seeing the daily intelligence briefings so he can only provide general advice at this point.

well, whatever happens with N.Korea...I wonder how GOP/FOX is gonna blame Obama?

"Relax, Dick.  Take a load off."

FTA: "...said Cheney "looked really good, spoke really clearly, lucidly."

I had no idea Cheney was now a black man.

  2013-04-10 09:08:33 AM
I wonder if naming North Korea as part of the "Axis of Evil" and then invading another nation that was also grouped into the Axis of Evil might have prioritized the development of nuclear weapons there?

  2013-04-10 09:09:04 AM
The fact that the GOP still invites Cheney or even lets him within 100 yards of a meeting of GOP leaders really shows that they have learned nothing from the past decade or so.

  2013-04-10 09:09:14 AM
We spend more on our military than the rest of the world combined, and somehow a fly speck of some backwater hellhole is a major threat.

Got it, Dick.  Shouldn't you be out shooting someone in the face or something?

More likely another example of his using any opportunity to slam the President.

NK is part of the now proverbial "Axis of Evil" after all.  He has no record to stand on there.  And the rest of his record was a nightmare.

Interesting that this is the commentary we get from the attendees. That's the sort of thing you say after your 98-year-old great uncle makes an appearance at Christmas dinner. It's like Cheney's specific critiques and policy advice was secondary to the fact that he's not quite dead yet.

It's possible this is just CNN's editorial judgement rather than how Cheney's viewed these days. Might have to compare and contrast with a few other sources to tell ...

Well, the yellow cake argument ain't gonna work this time.  Those sons of biatches are practically eating grass.

  2013-04-10 09:10:43 AM
Uh huh... Thanks, Dick. Duly noted.

  2013-04-10 09:12:25 AM
It is sad we live in a world where a cage doesn't fall from the ceiling to imprison that war criminal the second he set foot in the US Capitol building.

Seem to remember his attending Obama's first inauguration in a wheelchair...which he has not used before or since (at least publicly).  "Excuse not to stand" (read: 'display any respect to the new guy') seemed to be the consensus.

Guy seems to be terrified of 'meeting his Maker'.  With his record, I would be too.

So Cheney stopped by in an attempt to scare our politicians into getting into another shooting war?

Great.

  2013-04-10 09:22:10 AM
That's not the Cheney I know. The real Cheney would have seen this as an opportunity for tax cuts and a war that will pay for itself with the massive mineral wealth of North Korea. All that gay marriage must have twisted his once brilliant brain into that of a lilly livered liberal.

  2013-04-10 09:25:47 AM
fark you Dick

I'm suspending judgement until I hear what Rumsfeld has to say.

Not a good time.  Hell just choked down Thatcher.  Satan is still locked in the bathroom, pounding laxatives.

Swallow? Everybody knows Dick prefers to shoot in the face.

If I were the Devil, I'd be scared of negotiating a contract with Cheney.

  2013-04-10 09:32:46 AM
Die, Cheney.

  2013-04-10 09:33:06 AM
We should probably put North Korea on some sort of enemyies list, an Axis of Evil if you will, eh Dick?

I don't know if that was just a file photo or if he really had that shiat eating grin on his face when he basically mocked the current administration. In either case he's a prick. I can't believe he's only 72.

So the gist of the story is: "Dick Cheney talks to star farker GOP members, nothing specific happens."  Slooooow news day.

Yea, we're in such deep doo doo regarding NK that even China is getting fed up with their shiat.

Republicans have the worst foreign policy record. Lets listen to them.

Southerland's pandering to the teabaggers back home in Panny Ma City, who elected him.

  2013-04-10 10:30:25 AM
that old Psychopath Dick is hoping we're in deep doo doo.  he wants that American war machine cranked back up so his buddies in the Congressional Military Industrial Complex can start getting some DoD contracts going/ongoing again.

War is good for business, at least Cheny's business.

  2013-04-10 10:31:02 AM
The Republican party is in deep doo-doo, and their social policy has been recognized for what it is and summarily rejected by the voters.

Conservative economic ideology is alive and well.

  2013-04-10 10:37:31 AM
Go fark yourself, Dick. How long before that new heart rots away inside of your rotten core?

  2013-04-10 10:38:42 AM
Cheney added the current North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, is unpredictable and doesn't share the United States worldview.

NO! Really?

Funny, Detective N.S. Sherlock was saying something similar the other day. But now that I've heard it from Dick, I'm sold.

Vodka Zombie: Elfich: Hopefully it means that Cheney is smart enough to realize...

Yeah.  I'm gonna stop you right there.

And I was hoping that Cheney was a better person after the heart transplant.
