I think everything made in the last 3000 years is a cheap derivative tired knockoff of Gilgamesh .    I'm much more cooler and jaded and above it all than you.  What do I win?

WillofJ2: Generally how bad am movie is when you see it seems to correlate with how much the show you in the trailer, in my opinion  so maybe great things are ahead

I'm kind of getting a Ace Ventura vibe from it.  I can't believe no one else has picked that up.

scottydoesntknow: Nadie_AZ: Dune, Halo, and a few others. I'm in.

That's what I thought. That very first shot of Elysium and I said "wow, that looks like a Halo." If Blomkamp can't make the Halo movie, he'll damn sure include references to it.

Blomkamp has done no wrong so far, so this will be a Day 1 for sure.

/Please let it be rated R

You mean a Ringworld?

Nah, I'd rather watch that film about 2 car drivers by Ron Howard. It's more human.

I have a feeling this is going to be as full of plot holes and logical inconsistencies as Independence Day.  I also have a feeling it'll be just as much fun to watch.
