Look, if you're growing inside you're gonna need some HVAC anyway during the summer months. Just spend the extra dough on a carbon scrubber. They sell half assed ones at grocery stores ffs.

I used the cylindrical box of the whiskey as the main container, making a smaller cylinder out of chicken wire, covered in pantihose (?!? seriously, that's what strumpbyxor is in english? the direct translation is sock-trousers), then in the space between the two, filled with the large-grain carbon chips they sell in the home-brew shops. For a fan I bought a $10 computer fan. Total cost was 502 SEK (~80 USD), but I got a full bottle of laphroaig and an effective carbon scrubber.

Wasn't it just recently that a family that lived next door to a pot grower was complaining about the smell of the operation?

I remember this because not a few people here flew in to "nothing is wrong with marijuana!" mode and called the neighbors whiners who just didn't like pot for some reason.

So are we now admitting that growing pot plants produces a smell so intense that you might try to cover it up with... that? In which case it might be time to admit that growing pot in a residential area should be made illegal.

This. Well, at least in the local Houston news. And they all seem to be run by Vietnamese. Which makes me think its the cartels that may have something to do with it. Sort of a cold war between growers, don't go shoot all of them up in a bloodbath and cause a huge scene (save that for across the border), just call the cops on them saying you smell something skunky. But also for every grow house you see busted, I'm sure there are 5-6 at least who have their shiat together, and someone more than willing to step in to fill the old growers shoes. Its like torrent sites, you take one down for copyright and the next day you have 5 more new sites up and running. At some point it will get through the conservatives thick skulls that for better or worse the demand for this naturally occurring plant is not going away, and it might be better to have some control of where the revenues it generates are going.

yeah, impressed my girl with how macgyver I was. She even bought the scotch for me from the savings of getting a real scrubber.

Swapping out the carbon is super easy, too. Just a quick de-duck-taping, pour out the old, funnel in the new, re duck-tape, Done.

Actually, leaf blowers and their ilk stir up and blow around such disgusting stuff I won't even start the list. But those of us who still have a respiratory system do NOT thank the neighbors who use these machines for polluting the neighborhood air.
