Police Dept.: Fire him.

Union: Let him be fired.

Did the driver get away with just a verbal warning? If so, he should not be complaining about this encounter a damn bit, I don't care what was said.

98 in a 70 zone? And that's the warning? Yeah. Count your blessings.

Doesn't have any business calling anyone 'boy.'  And implying he'd be raped for reckless driving.  Cop seems like a real sweetheart.

98 in a 70 and he got a warning?

98 in a 70 and he got a warning???

I don't care WHAT the cop said, that's over the top kindness from the cop

I have no problem with cops putting fear in people if they're letting them off with a warning.

I feel sympathy for the German tourist because: 1) he's probably better at driving than the vast majority of Americans; 2) doing 98 mph roughly translates to 158 kph, an acceptable speed on some Autobahns; C) he is a tourist; and D) the cop threatened jail rape.

I don't feel sympathy for the German tourist because: 1) he was most likely aware of American Interstate speed limits, i.e. 70 mph = 113 kph; 2) he probably drove in other European countries with highway speed limits, like 120 kph in the Nederlands; 3) he laughed at the obviously pissed off cop; and 4) his smart ass should have been dragged into jail and his rental car pulled for reckless driving, denying his car rentals in the US in the future.

AMERICA, F*CK YEAH!

They were both in the wrong so it evens out.
He's lucky he got off with just a warning.

So, since it happens, everyone knows it and counts on it for prisoners...Can we now admit that we are a country with institutionalized rape as a punishment for breaking laws?  It would make the judgements more interesting.

Have you heard of cruel and unusual punishment?

Rape that could possibly lead to AIDS is one of it.

And about 7% of inmates are raped in prison, despite how 'institutionalized' you might think it is.

I did about 95 on a 65 MPH two-lane and was stopped by the same OHP who caught Tim McVeigh (a year or two later).  He was described by a reporter as a cop who would "turn in his own mother if she was breaking the law."

He just told me to slow the fark down, then asked me which side road the blue Mustang that had passed me turned off on.

This is a joke, correct?

2013-04-09 10:33:22 PM
Pfft, ever been cussed out by a German Cop?

No?

Thats because you were politely but immediately incarcerated, your vehicle impounded, your driver's license revoked, and your ass thankful.

Kraut got off easy.

Enjoy your stay, German Boy.

flyin1: This is a joke, correct?

That looked decidedly like a fake. Haven't seen it before, but no cop anywhere will pull a vehicle over and stand in the window that way with both hands on the door. They'll stand behind the driver, and maybe lean on the car but that's it, and if they're smart they keep one hand on their firearm until they're handed the papers. Take papers, run the plate and the ID, maybe THEN give someone a good cussing out if they earned it, or if they're cool, give them a warning and send them on their way.

Course, if (big IF) it's real, that guy is a douchebag.

I'm not sure we're on the same page when it comes to statistics.
That's 7% over total time in prison. Not a 7% chance to get raped DAILY.

For what it's worth, the Federal Bureau of Prisons on the link you sent, says that the chance is closer to 12-14%.

You don't believe our law enforcement personnel should behave professionally?  You think it's ok that they act like thugs and threaten you with ass rape?

This guy should be fired, he's everything that's wrong with our police.  Instead he probably earned a paid vacation.

Tangential, but why do we accept that turning a blind eye to prison rape isn't a major violation of the 8th amendment?

Only after the fine constable had returned to his vehicle. I would've laughed also after seeing a genuine American redneck in the wild.

I suppose I should define that for the farkers who've never traveled.  Persona non Grata
