And that's the story of how I came to hate myself.

There's some aging hippie woman who ran for mayor around here a couple of years ago, on kind of a wacky (yet inoffensive) platform, one of the primary planks of which was that people in the city should be allowed to keep chickens so they could have fresh home-grown eggs.  (In fact, within the last year, the city charter was actually changed to allow it, so wacky as she was, maybe she was ahead of her time.)  Given that she was running against a well-funded and well-known candidate who, though also an idiot, happens to be a former NBA all-star, she obviously didn't stand a chance.

Anyway, I happened to meet this woman face-to-face once (when she was handing out literature at the local farmers market), and the first thing I or anybody else noticed about her is that she had a full-on beard.  Not just a little peach fuzz that needed waxing, but an honest-to-god goatee.  Here's a pic of her that I just found with a GIS, which helpfully includes a close-up of her chin:



The bearded lady's name?  Well, appropriately enough, her name is Muriel Strand.

You people must really be freaked out, because no one seems to have taken notice that she seems to have a right big set of tits on her.
