A local goodwill store had "Only have $20 in your pocket? Come pop some tags." on their Marquee. I don't think they realize they were encouraging shoplifting.

Popping tags is slang for either buying stuff or stealing stuff. In his song, it's obvious by the mention of the $20 that Macklemore is planning on buying his merchandise.

yeah, I'm with RR here. Macklemore is a solid artist. The entire Heist album is pretty solid and shows some real depth of character and lyrics.
