(ESPN)   There's really no reason to even have the upcoming NFL season because Kevin Kolb has seen the future, and he leads the Bills to Superbowl victory in 2014   (espn.go.com) divider line 29

The Bills are looking to lead the league in most mediocre, overpaid quarterbacks the last few years.

Kevin, can I call you Kevin?

As an Eagles fan, I felt bad about how you got screwed out of your job because of bad luck. But after the giant payday from the Cards (you're welcome by the way, did Andy get a thank you card?), you should just be counting your blessings that you're even still in the league.

Even Bills fans don't think you're the answer to their Super Bowl drought...just shut up, keep your head down, collect your check, and, most importantly, don't blow it all in one place!

The synergy created by joining a failed quarterback to a failed team will make a winning combination. That's the theory anyway,

^ This.  And start planning now for life outside the NFL, because it's coming sooner than you think.

Yeah, something tells me Kolb will have enough problems beating out Geno Smith for the job.

ITT, people who didn't know that kolb lead the cards to their few quality wins last season before getting hurt, thus exposing that the cards were actually a dumpster fire.

Because that mattered so much when Tebow did it in Denver.

If you aspire to be a starting NFL quarterback, your goal should always be to win the Super Bowl. Sure, Kolb isn't going to achieve that, especially in Buffalo right now, but his quote isn't silly so much as cliche.

Tebow got hurt? Oh I vaguely remember that, but he was fine in like 3 days

Who's won more playoff games for the Broncos?  Tebow or Manning?  Yeah you know it's Timmy Sprinkles!  You better duck!

Pretty much. What's he supposed to say, "I hope I can throw some touchdowns and win some games." or "I'm just here for the check." Then he'd get lambasted for "not wanting to win" or some other bs.

Well, the alternative cliche quote is that they can't be focused on what happens at the end of the season - they need to get ready and prepare for Week 1. And after that, they need to worry about their next opponent. If they take care of what they can take care of, then he believes they have the talent to contend for the Super Bowl.

Everyone Mocked Flacco for making similar predictions last season

Just like how a negative number times another negative number equals a positive number. It's simple math, people!

But who are these "Bills" you're talking about? Do you mean the Tortonto Bills?

First off, he didn't make a prediction.  He said his goal was to win a Superbowl.

Honestly, I don't see what's wrong with what Kolb said.

Are the Bills likely to win a Superbowl?  Hell, no.  But if you are an NFL player, winning the Superbowl should always be your goal, regardless of what team you are on.  If you are a player and that isn't your goal, then you don't belong in the NFL.

Lost Thought 00: Everyone Mocked Flacco for making similar predictions last season

Flacco said he felt that he was the best and he believed every QB should think they are the best.  He didn't guarantee a Super Bowl.

Meanwhile Kolb said he would win a Super Bowl, but he didn't say what year or if he would be the start QB, backup QB, QB coach, Offensive Coordinator, etc.  He has a long long time to be able to fulfill his claim.

I'm a Bills fan living in Arizona. Let me just say that ... goddammitsoverymuch.

Arizona is a very close second. Kurt Warner was an aberration.

Not until Ralphie kicks the bucket.  My bets LA vs. Toronto, though given the disfunction of the LA ownership groups who knows?

/would be happy to see the Bills at least make the playoffs, baby steps people baby steps.

I'd like to see them do something wonderful for one year and then move. I can't see them staying after Ralph Wilson passes. It is sort of like watching the team slowly die in front of you- you can't stop it and you know it is inevitable. And yet you can't just walk away.

If you need any more proof that concussions are too prevelant in football... I need you to look no farther than that statement right there.
