I saw a hawk fly into the side of a van on my way to work this morning.

I don't know if it died on impact, but I don't like it's chances laying unconscious on the highway.

Now that's a wild turkey surprise!

As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

And it's boneless, now.

ArchAngel: This happened to me about 10 years ago.  Wild turkey flew through the windshield and into my step-brothers lap.  It was like a blood/meat balloon exploded inside the car.

My folks were driving north on I-81 in Va. a few years back. Dad had the window down with his left arm resting on the door, as usual. Suddenly, there was a loud BANG, a flurry of stuff in the car, and something landed at Mom's feet.

It turned out a wild turkey had just missed the windshield. It took out the driver's-side mirror; that was what landed at Mom's feet. Dad got scratches, and the rear seat got a lot of feathers.

First car that stopped after they pulled over was an EMT, who tended to Dad's scratches. The second was an old pickup truck; the driver came walking up, carrying the turkey, and said "Y'all want this?"

My folks let him take the turkey, but kept a few feathers. I've still got one.
