I don't know about BCPs for reasons of maleness.  But, I take one maintenance med. It's an off-patent drug, I'm okay with generics, and I'm supposed to use a mail-order pharmacy for highest insurance coverage.  As a result, the last four order of it I've gotten, all four bottles were from different makers, different colors, shapes, and sizes.  For the exact same prescription.

"This is different" isn't quite that cut-and-dried.
