That's nice that they found her long haired rat.

I'd inter her nets if you know what I mean.

Gee what lovely samaritans. Their sister or brother stole a dog, gave it to them as a gift, and they oh so kindly, after it became public outcry, returned the stolen dog but only after getting a brand new one and some free swag too.

Sound like lovely people.

Yorkie

Probably more of a badass than you.

Maybe she tricked them with a 'roided up ferret.

This Sherry person sounds like a real biatch.

If the dog hadn't been basically a pint-size hairy yapper it wouldn't have been kidnapped.

But I do admit that yorkies are cute.

pretty messed up how most of them have their tails circumcised, though.

My old neighbor had one. He took it on walks while carrying it and reading the newspaper.

Yeah that's pretty screwed up. I'm trying to wrap my head around why they thought it was OK to break the rightful owner's heart but not her niece's.

That dog has a "please kill me now," look on his face.

I wonder how much family drama it caused, heh. "So, big bro, you not only stole the dog, but when you found out who the owner was, rather than doing the right thing, you left them a letter saying 'finders keepers', and then it got broadcast on the tv"

I don't know about you, but if that was my sibling, they would be on the receiving end of a biatch-fit, and maybe not get invited to the next holiday dinner. Dicks.

According to the "ransom note" the dog was found at a gas station with a bandanna and a collar that had no tags.  If Sara wanted to keep her dog, she should at the very least be sure it's properly tagged.

Which is really sad considering half the money in the known universe can get the average Farker laid, unlike the Internet.

I'd be incredibly embarrassed if I received it as a gift and they refused to give it back, I don't even know how I'd talk to them. This is the kind of act that would make me question what other kinds of moral decisions they make, it's pretty heartless to do what they did.

Did they take it to a vet or shelter and have it scanned for microchips?

Seriously. "It didn't have any tags!" is of course what a dog thief is going to say. It's the dog equivalent of "oh, sorry dude, wallet was empty when I found it, I swear!"

Glad to hear the pup is back. He was obviously very missed. But "Gizmo"? Really? He looks more like Stripe than the cuddly Mogwai.

I hope simply Sherry gets mind-bogglingly constipated.

What a twunt.

I know, just trying to point out there are other options, and most purebred dogs these days are microchipped.  Ask around at vets if they know who the dog belonged to.  Turn it in to animal control (where is usually the first place someone looks if their dog goes missing) or other local shelter/rescue.  Put up signs found dog.  Craigslist.

I hate the idea of "Gee, there's no tags.  Woo hoo, free dog to sell or give to family!"

I came in here to point out that someone just conned this dumb blonde out of a purebred puppy and free supplies, but pretty much everyone else here beat me to it.

vossiewulf: Gizmo was returned in exchange for a pure-bred Yorkie puppy and a gift card for supplies ransom.

Sweet folks.

This.

Gizmo should have been exchanged for only hanging the people that GAVE the dog as a gift and sparing the lives of the ones who received it.

2013-04-09 06:39:26 AM
So the people that had the dog saw the video and contacted her? What does any of this have to do with the "kindness of cyber strangers"?

I don't know if it can or not, but, it won't help ugly people.
