skinbubble: I am digging the "Ford on Snowshoes" - the Model T Snowmobile
fusillade762: [img.gawkerassets.com image 750x491]I don't think they thought this all the way through...[img.gawkerassets.com image 720x540]Is that jet powered? Yee-farking-ha!
TV's Vinnie: I made mention of this vehicle a few months back. All this effort for a mobile arctic base/lab/aircraft carrier, and they gave the damn thing SMOOTH tires! No wonder it didn't go very far after it was unloaded onto the ice pack. After WWII, it was rediscovered and then left in place again, but was never found again after that expedition. Rumor has it that either the Soviets took it for themselves or that it was carried away when a huge chunk of the ice shelf broke off, and it's now at the bottom of the ocean after the iceberg melted.
Just Another OC Homeless Guy: Meh.
braedan: It doesn't matter what your riding in. Danforth still goes mad at the end.

Kibbler: I love the "armored" snowmobile. Plywood covered with a 10mm plate in front. So, if the attackers were carrying derringers, you'd be safe...so long as they were firing directly from the front.
neongoats: I liked that tractor on two big screws. That looked fun.
Cletus from Canuckistan: Saw this one on BarnFinds the other day. Not really a snowmobile, but it was 'modified for winter mail delivery'.[www.barnfinds.com image 600x375]
