Then there's the employee handbook, which communicates company policies in training. Odd to find on The Smoking Gun. For one thing, this girl cannot meet the hair grooming requirements.

Sucks to be her, but Hooters is obviously a very appearance based job. I could never be a Hooter waitress because their "Uniforms" don't go above size medium and my XL chunky thighs would look awful in those shorts. I could waitress many other places(using a more coverign uniform, makeup, and my chipper personality) but not there. Even if they made shorts bigger, I wouldn't look good in them. I don't do shorts. Could totally rock a shirt in XL if they made it long enough and I used one of my good lifting bras. Guess my bra would show though in the front, but I need good coverage.

Yeah, we went to Hooters once and this chick had what looked like a slice of rotting baloney stuck to her arm. It turned out to be the flesh-colored rubber patch they make them wear to cover up their tattoos.

Between that shiat and the pantyhose, it wasn't sexy.

Fortunately, most of the strip clubs in Portland have surprisingly good food. We even have a few that serve steaks, and one with an entirely vegan menu.

She is suing under the ADA, which is Federal law. Even in right-to-work states, like my home state, you can't fire or refuse to hire someone if your basis for the action violates Federal labor laws.
That's why this all hinges on Hooters having to admit that they hire women just for their looks and it is part of their job qualifications.

Given that it's a restaurant where the waitresses wear tight shirts and flirt with customers for tips, they probably fired her because she was the most interesting person in the place and was soaking up all the tips from the other ~~employees~~ independent contractors.

There is a reason why Twin Peaks/Hooters/Tilted Kilt calenders are mostly California, Florida, Texas and Oklahoma. Ok not so much packed with Oklahoma but we get a few in there.
