You gotta like their Facebook page to reveal number one?  Fark that noise!

/someone else can take that bullet
//if it ain't Shaq in "Kazaam" I don't want to hear about it

2013-04-08 01:50:50 PM
Click like to reveal #1? I don't think so. Also Suburban Commando doesn't belong on this list and Kazaam does.

2013-04-08 01:51:56 PM
Fark you yardbreaker. I will not 'like' you just to see the #1.

/And Space Jam farking rocked
//Kazaam should be #1

NuttierThanEver: No Gymkata?

That's what I was thinking.  Maybe it's number 1.  Too bad for them we won't give in to this obvious and shameless ploy.

While I think Gymkata deserves to be on that list, it's hard to argue with that #1.

If you weren't already a TF'er, I'd sponsor you a month for that.

Thanks! Gotta love how 3 out of the top 4 posts said Kazaam should be #1.

You deserve nothing, vile, loathsome web page, forecourt are unlikeable!

I thought there were some interesting things in Stone Cold.  Lance Henrikson was great and that brunette was gorgeous. Also, Gymkata is truly missing here...

Trying to make me "like" your FB page to see anything is a guaranteed way to keep me from both liking your FB page and of ever clicking on another link to your website.  Yardbarker, you are dead to me.

So basically..."every movie starring a sports figure is bad, so here is a list of all of the ones that we could think of."

Space Jam wasn't that bad.

2013-04-08 02:35:29 PM
Could always Like and then Unlike, but even that was too much effort.

2013-04-08 02:44:18 PM
Hamburger, TMP wasn't bad for what it was.

Stone Cold the same.

Space Jam was fun.

ALL of Rodmans movies should be there.

Lando Lincoln: So basically..."every movie starring a sports figure is bad, so here is a list of all of the ones that we could think of."

Not terrible:

List fails without Rosey Grier in "The Thing with Two Heads"

Tooth Fairy wasn't that bad of a movie. Sure, it was very cliched but it still had some great moment.

I thought the point of TF was to downvote crap like this so it stays out of the Liters' News Feed.

The Rock has kicked ass in pretty much everything he's been in (The Rundown being my favorite).

I don't even fault him for the Tooth Fairy. He did it for his daughter so there would be a movie she could see with him in it.

My favorite movie that has a professional athlete in it:

"He leads the league in most offensive categories including nose hair. When this guy sneezes he looks like a party favor."

Actual watchable.  Interesting concept (pre-Matrix); could be a good sci-fi/thriller in the right hands.

What's wrong with Space Jam? Its got Bugs Bunny ffs.

List fails without Jim Brown in "The Dirty Dozen".

At first I thought it was the worst movies ABOUT athletes, and I was upset that "Brian's Song" didn't make the cut.

Stone Cold is in the "Roadhouse" vein where it's objectively a terrible movie and yet I find myself watching it every time it's on.

How can you not love a movie that has Boz shooting a guy off of his motorcycle in a courthouse, causing the motorcycle to go out of a widow and into a helicopter which causes the helicopter to explode?

Boz's glorious mullet alone is worth a viewing.   If God has a mullet, it looks like Boz's mullet.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar's jawdropping turn as Roger Murdock remains a high water mark in athletic cinema.  It is impossible to take your eyes off of him, as his simultaneously bemused but arrogant leonine grace fills the scene.  One can easily imagine him giving the classic "world of sighs" speech in Othello, or treading the boards as Willy Loman.  It is our loss that this titan of cinema is so reclusive in sharing his rare gift, but we are blessed that this moment, this ephemeral moment of understated brilliance, is ours for ever and ever.

And ever.

Michael Caine played an obese WWII POW.

/they must have shot the POW camp scenes first then shot the stadium scenes last.
/Caine didn't look tubby in the camp. I think he ate well and drank even better during the production

If you watch the Bo/Boz play now, it's pretty unremarkable.  Bo is about to score, Boz hits him from the side and tackles him, but not before he scores.  The hype at the time made it a big deal, but if you watch it now it's not the beatdown legend has made it.

2013-04-08 03:29:45 PM
Lame link is lame.

And Haywire belongs in that list.  I'm a big fan of Gina Carano, but that movie sucked!
