EA will win. Simply because gamers are much more vocal online than other groups. Most of the people who have been negatively affected by BoA are probably more worried about how to deal with BoA than participating in a stupid online survey.

Yeah, honestly, foreclosing on homes that aren't even MORTGAGED vs. wahhh my game doesn't play right. HUGE difference in the gravity of the suckitude there.

As bad as BofA is, it's hard to believe that Comcast and/or AT&T didn't make the final cut but a video game company did.

I agree. Screwing tens of thousands of people and majorly contributing to a financial disaster in our country won't matter because OMG I DON'T WANT TO PLAY SIM CITY ONLINE!!

/hate DRM too
//BOA should still win

EA is the best company ever, said no one.

SWTOR. That is all.

2013-04-08 02:41:23 PM
Some of us were smart enough to leave BofA decades ago, so EA should win for putting out a sucky game I really wanted to play but won't and i don't give a fark if you disagree with me because I'm cranky.

2013-04-08 02:46:46 PM
There was little chance it would be anything but those two, and I'm sure they probably beat AT&T and Comcast in the previous round. Oh, my bad. Comcast and Ticketmaster. EA beat AT&T to get to the quarterfinals.

But that just proves the point: the whining of The Consumerist is highly predictable and I'm willing to bet quite a bit EA would be there even if Sim City 5 was a smash success. The people who read The Consumerist comprise the whiniest circle jerk in the world.

2013-04-08 03:02:19 PM
I agree that BoA is by far the worst company, but it's worth it to vote for EA because they're going to whine non-stop about being voted the worst. BoA doesn't care.

Multiple times. It's because the forclosure courts (?) are so farking swamped they never checked any of the relevant paperwork. Also BOA seems to be a bunch of dumbasses as well. Here's a story I think was on Fark a few years back.

Seeing as I actually FIRED BoA, they have to take it

2013-04-08 03:04:38 PM
In retaliation if EA wins, they'll bring co-finalist BofA on board to foreclose on all those buildings and houses in all your SimCities, then you'll be forced to pay off the interest before you can play again, and Origin DRM will certainly enforce that.

When did they stop allowing comments? Did the flame wars get too hot?

At any rate, B of A should win. Come down to it, EA is just a company that publishes games.

They still had all of these customers a year later.

2013-04-08 03:06:12 PM
I voted based on the effect the companies have on my life. BofA doesn't bother me. I haven't used a brick and mortar bank in a decade. EA, on the other hand, keeps buying up franchises that I play and then proceeding to raping them with a corporate dildo of their incompetence.

I play SimCity and I bank at BoA.

CSB:

I'm what a corporate-type would call a "meetings professional", and last year, just after the EA won the WCIA I worked a meeting at their headquarters. Some of the more junior people made a joke or two about it, but mostly it was completely ignored.

I have another meeting with them coming up, and I'm really curious if there will be a bigger reaction to winning twice in a row (which I assume they will).

I didn't buy the latest Sim City because of EAs stupid online rules.

Dumped BoA years ago.

Add to the list... won't shop at Walmart anymore.

Dropped Time Warner Cable.

At&t are next when my contract is up.

No telemarketers... as I said before Stop calling me I don't want uverse! Just because you hold my cell phone service so think you can bypass do not call list doesn't mean if you ask me five times a week I will change my mind about uverse.

Screw you at&t!

I think the comments went away because most of them pointed out how stupid the aggrieved parties were and how stupid Consumerist was for publishing their stupid grievances.

In other words, Consumerist realized it was duplicating Fark's work.

EA will win because in the be all and end all, they are pissing off a larger market then BoA. I mean seriously, if you live outside the USA, how much has BoA ruined things for you. Sure the Meltdown on 2008 hurt us all, but that wasn't just BoA.

Now look at EA, they are pissing off gamers world wide! And as ScottyDoesntKnow mentioned, Gamers are a more vocal community online.

There was a problem with their website some months back, so they switched to a new design and underlying code (and a new host, I think), and since then they claim to be working to get comments back, but it's been over six months.

Happened to me with GMAC. GMAC purchased my mortgage from someone... but somehow gave me someone else's first name (not just mispelling... complete different name) and put me down as my wife's ssn.

That was almost impossible to get fixed had to jump through so many hoops.

The original mortgage company had it all right. We don't know where GMAC got my wife's ssn she wasn't even on the mortgage.

If I remember correctly, their commenting system got hacked. Back in December they said they were finally implement comments again, and asked for feedback on what features you wanted. They've been silent ever since.

No Exxon for destroying a neighborhood and using complicit local law enforcement to violate the 1st amendment in an attempt to minimize negative coverage of it - AND for funding climate skeptics in an attempt to protect their profit stream while negating the need for them to diversify their energy production at the expense of the global environment? Really?

Exxon killed one neighbourhood. EA killed virtually uncountable virtual neighbourhoods full of innocent Sims.

We expect that from Exxon.
