I've met Ms. Jameson, she's actually pretty nice (she used to date the singer of a local band called Wolfpac, a splinter group from the bloodhound gang). I'm interested in knowing more about what happened, because I would bet good money that she was being harassed. She has a clean record, and people are brutal to strangers.

I'm lucky(?) to have a few friends who were "in the industry" and the crap that people put them through is atrocious. I went to college with Alicia Alighatti (not her real name, not going to give it to you, sorry), and she was almost arrested because a bunch of guys and their girlfriends from our college started harassing her at a bar about her past career. She travelled across the US to try and get away, but it followed her. We asked them to leave, they didn't, so we left and they followed us. After some especially nasty comments, she had enough and dropped the biggest guy in the group with a single punch. We were there to explain what happened and the cops decided not to do anything because it was a pretty clear cut case of harassment and "fighting words." She was still pretty messed up about it afterwards. On the upside, she is now married to a really nice guy and has a successful business, so things ultimately worked out for her I guess.

TL;DR: complete strangers can be really brutal to pornstars for no good reason, and they're people just like you and me. You push them too far and they will fight back.

Please, do tell us your opinions on male porn performers  Or former drug users. If you leave a lifestyle that you feel had a negative impact on you and didn't harm anyone else why should it be considered fair for others to burden you with that past? I'm sure you have school teacher out there to get fired but some people do alter their lifestyle in an effort for what they consider self improvement. Why should it be held against them if there is video/photographic proof of that life. You wouldn't call someone who lost 100 pounds to look fit and healthy a fat-ass because they still have "before" photos out there. It's not right to hold a victimless past against someone who has become a different person. I can change, you can change, we can all change.

Efukt is certainly good resource for seeing evidence of the emotional outbursts, though it's very sad figuring that they are linked to prior physical and/or emotional trauma.

I'm not saying that they all have PTSD or anything, but I bet it's a pretty high percentage when compared to the general public. I'm willing to go out on a limb and guess that there are a relatively small percentage of well-adjusted and liberated women who just happen to be sex loving exhibitionists in the business.
