Ivandrago: Oh, I'm definitely a moocher. I've only ever worked for government in one capacity or another. Military, Public Defender's Office. Trying for federal law enforcement. I also get disability from injuries I sustained while in the Army. I'm such a taker! (A very good friend told me I was a thief because I received disability)

I'm going to have to know the exact nature and extent of you injuries in order to make a moral judgement regarding your worthiness to accept disability payments. I'm not against them, per se, but it's vitally important I be able to determine your level of American Hero-ness before I say if its okay for you to get money for being injured while in the "Army", if you know what I mean.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to work sitting in a comfortable chair in an air conditioned building.

I don't trust Gutter, not after his performance at his Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing.

With a Republican Mayor of Arlington and a Republican Governor of Virginia, I too blame Obama.

The solution is obvious. Elect a repub to the White House, then the deficit will cease to matter and we can go back to business as usual. Until then, America must suffer for electing and re-electing the black guy. Take that, you biatch!

Mutated-Snoopy: cameroncrazy1984: Ivandrago: I just feel that democrats should have had the forethought to know that republicans would play this game

Oh right, the Dems should have had a crystal ball. Both sides are bad because the Dems can't see into the future.

It's less "Dems can't see the future" and more "Dems keep expecting Lucy not to pull away the football."

Aesop had a story about this.

Is the solution to beat the snake with a shovel and then cross the river on your own? Because I can appreciate the metaphor.

I have several pilot friends, and they're screaming bloody murder about the tower closings at many GA airfields due to the sequester.  One alternative solution that has been proposed is to have usage fees - basically a payment to take off or land on the runway - to pay for the tower personnel.  Seems to me like a very "conservative" solution, but nope.  Apparently, US taxpayers should subsidize what for almost all of them is an expensive hobby.  Almost all of these folks voted Republican, and are completely unable to see the irony.

Ivandrago: I'm equally angry at both sides for it.

But how should I vote?

/seriously, it's the GOPs fault. They didn't want to raise taxes on wealthy people.
