It's really not that hard when you remove any access to the outside world.

I know, and most of what they do is really for internal consumption to begin with...

I just find them to be so strange.  Like, they are still caught up in this strange hybrid of Communism and a Dictatorship, all ruled by fear...It seems they want to enter modern day society, but because their anti-western rhetoric has been so strong, for so long, they fear that they will appear weak to their people.

Obviously the regime is not sustainable, and it is merely a matter of time before some crazy shiat goes down...which could be in the next week or so!!!

Funk Brothers: I'm willing to bet the United States, not North Korea is the country throwing the world into chaos. The United States is basically pressuring North Korea to act through warfare. I believe China should push the United States into demilitarizing South Korea and leave the Korea theatre. The Pentagon and members of Congress are basically acting on the same level as if Iraq in 2003 having the firepower to use weapons of mass destruction.

The United States needs to stop bullying North Korea and leave South Korea to defend the DMZ.

Well from a strictly legalistic standpoint they have announced that they are withdrawing from the 1953 Armistice with the UN.

From a standpoint of concrete actions, not a whole helluva lot.

They have killed a few folks, unprovoked, who were members of another sovereign (shelling a South Korean Island)...

They do not really have a stellar humanitarian record in dealing with their own citizens...

They are causing unrest due to their rhetoric as of late.  They have outright said that they are going to bomb major cities in the US.  Whether or not they can is another issue altogether.  But they have formally, on the world stage, threatened to cause harm to the US, and its allies.

Lots of counties, including the US and it's allies,  threaten to cause harm to other nations. Threatening to cause harm is generally not considered cause for military action.

Nuclear war is more than "harm". I am not sure when the US last publicly threatened to nuke anything. Vietnam? Cuban Missile Crisis? Korea? Not sure.

Norks attack, China through the UN gives the greenlight to strike, SK and the US get to show off all our pretty new toys for approximately a week. China with an agreement with SK go in and 'stabalize' the region.

And of course by stabalize I mean take advantage of natural resources and a source of cheap labor to keep selling us our shiny shiat at cheap prices.

This is the most likely outcome of any outbreak in hostilities, along with a simultaneous push into NK from the north by Chinese troops to keep the NK people IN NK and not China.
