Good lord that looks like a rough life.  Is she a prostitute or something?

<piece-of-crap-human>That mole would be suh-weet for image processing alignment</piece-of-crap-human>

/Going to hug wife and animals.

Damn. You can actually see her soul being crushed as the year progresses.

Don't hit girls. Be mad, stomp around and act like a jerk sometimes. She'll forgive you and she gets all sideways sometimes at you too. It's okay.

Don't hit girls like that and do that kind of damage. Not okay.

Subby, thanks for the Monday morning reminder that this soul-crushing cubicle ain't quite so bad.....

2013-04-08 09:59:42 AM
Was she told?

2013-04-08 10:07:22 AM
I'm guessing it was done for some sort of public service message.

It was nice to see the whole video calibrated around the mole.

2013-04-08 10:38:53 AM
I didn't notice the video title of "worst year of my life" and for the first 20 seconds thought the subby used "sad" because of that damn mole.

2013-04-08 10:44:32 AM
Leave him? Just a thought.

/or quit MMA

2013-04-08 11:05:31 AM
"Help me, I do not know if I will wait for tomorrow"

"wait" could be "live"?

Meethos: Leave him? Just a thought.

I bet he'll take that well, too.  He'll have a moment of introspection, followed by a good cry and then he'll move on.

But she needn't worry if he doesn't since cutting all ties and disappearing is both cheap AND easy, not to mention guaranteed to be effective.

Right?

/or maybe quit MMA... though I think most MMA organizations would frown on ligature strangulation (0:47).

That's really farking sad.

2013-04-08 11:23:08 AM
Wow, she had more bruises and black eyes in one year than most boxers.  That was farking sad.

2013-04-08 11:30:59 AM
If that was real and not some kind of public service announcement that is sad beyond description (the time-lapse had some "beyond the layman" production values).  Still, this kind of thing is happening and it's tragic.  Men that abuse women need to be put away with other man who will in turn abuse them and after a lot of abuse we'll send the beat-up men to rehap to TRY to make them better humans.

And yet I'm still single and likely will die this way while my ex-wife spends her anniversary with her new husband in the Bahamas.

Fark.  shiat.  Men, if you really need someone to kick the shiat out of you may as well come visit me.  Why not?  Life has been one endless kick in the sack these last five years.  We'll box it out at the gym.

2013-04-08 11:36:50 AM
Track the mole!

2013-04-08 11:38:37 AM
Fortunately, it was makeup. Not beatings. It's for an ad

Translated from another site so I don't know how accurate it is.

Video footage on YouTube which is set by the user "fero061982" titled "One photo a day in the worst year of life 'shows 365 photographs of the same girl. The girl was smiling at the beginning, followed by photos of a big blue bruise, bruises and gruesome wounds on his face.

At the end of the video girl holding a paper with the printed message: - Help me. I do not know if I'll wait for tomorrow, and the description says: " A year in which I was abused . Please help me. '
The recording has sparked much controversy about domestic violence, but also about the authenticity of the recordings. Specifically, among the comments soon appeared that the claim in question is mounted, high-quality video, for a campaign that points to the problem of violence against women.
Authenticity of the footage could not confirm or organizations that deal with victims of domestic violence, writes Belgrade's B92.
Among commentators, has YouTube users from the USA, UK, Canada, Spain ...

To soon?

The video is fake, but my lack of sympathy for attractive women who date violent and abusive assholes is because they're "edgy bad boys" is not.

Sometimes you bite the hand that feeds you, sometimes the hand bites back.

Geez, some women are just high maintenance. Why'd he let her keep her iPhone?

Yes, it's fake, yes, it's makeup, but in my teens I sawmy  sister's friend go through crap like this. She'd never say 'I walked into a door'

What she did say was; "he didn't mean it" and "he said sorry" and the most popular one, "It was my fault."

Exactly. In the long run these type of shenanigans cause people to take domestic violence less seriously because reports are untrustworthy. This campaign is a great example of how attention whoring is not helping.  They should be ashamed of making it.

2013-04-08 12:57:58 PM
I don't get it.  If a chick is treated badly and beaten by a guy, why don't they leave or shoot the bastard in the face?

If my girlfriends back in the day, or my wife now, started smacking me around I'd smack them back, and dump their ass.

And don't say physical strength--no man can stop a bullet with his eyelids.

Where do you think she was getting those beatings?

Calm down, people.. it's a PSA.

So it's a PSA covering the importance of knowing how and when to make a proper sandwich.

She's pretty hot.  I'd hit it.

It's only sad cos she's hot. If she weren't such a good looking woman most men won't be as appalled

She needs to be more attentive to stairs and dishes.

Memo to abused women...

- Document it with police, even if you are afraid.
- Purchase gun
- Shoot piece of human debris in the face, several times to make sure the job is done
- live the rest of your life in peace

The rest of us will thank you for your actions in removing a piece of slime from the earth and there will be no prosecution for self defense.

...which makes how it was posted here on Fark even more disingenuous, as it's clearly not "a year" of anything. It's just another bullshiat viral ad for yet another disingenuous ad campaign.

If you're going to post an ad, post it as an ad. Claiming it's a year of photos from the life of a Croatian woman is not only disingenuous, but revealing just a sequential set of photos involving a model wearing bad makeup for a public service ad against domestic violence, destroys the value of the ad itself - because it's so clearly fake, the cause being touted by the ad is as casually dismissed as the ad itself.

My understanding is that it WAS a year of pictures, but with makeup added in (you know, instead of a real beating). The intent being to have a good PSA at the end of that year. Subby was technically correct, but lied by ommision (or ignorance)

The Saatchi & Saatchi article doesn't say one way or another - but I don't really care how long it took for them to take the photos, honestly, as the original point stands.

It's an ad, posted as something other than an ad, and it's clearly fake. The ad itself presses some very personal buttons at my end with regards to domestic violence, so it's hard to keep that bias out of my gripe, but the gripe itself remains - I dislike advertising spread as something other than advertising, and my first reaction upon seeing viral advertising is to mentally disregard whatever's being advertised. Had this been posted as the striking Saatchi & Saatchi Belgrade PSA it truly is, it would've been easier to view & contemplate. Instead, I'm just irritated.

On the one hand, I fully understand your gripe. On the other, this is the world we live in and unfortunately viral marketing, and clandestine PSA's are part of it. At best you can discourage the technique by not supporting the orgs and products pushed this way and let people know when something is in fact an ad or a PSA.

this...and dammit ladies, if you are in a relationship where this shiat happens. GET OUT. Don't think, don't try to talk, pack your shiat and go to a hotel or friends, call the cops do anything but stay.

/This goes for the guys that this happens too as well. It happens and you don't need to take it either. Most guys won't say shiat because they are embarassed, don't be, just get out.
