Good to see another one of these places doing well. I enjoy the various pinball-like re-productions on the consoles, like The Gottlieb Collection on the Gamecube and Microsoft Pinball Arcade.

I was just at the Michigan Pinball Expo on Saturday, and I met the guy who did that art, as well as many other machines.  He had a huge quantity of non-pinball related artwork with him too, but frankly, everything was like staring at Picasso work, except for the Pinball stuff which was all really good.  (he did the entire Pinbot series, as well as about a half dozen others that I can't remember now)

Also, the place was ---packed---.  Lines 4 and 5 people deep for practically every game.  One of the oldies, a 1971-ish machine, went up in smoke from all the activity, which was pretty interesting to see, although frightening a bit .. (smoke started pouring out into the playfield, and the horrific smell of ancient circuitry burning)

The new Wizard of Oz and Predator creations from Jersey Jack and Skit.B pinball respectively had constant big lines, too.  The Wizard of Oz has just a bit -too much- crap on the playfield for my tastes, but I hope/expect they will tone it down a little bit for their next game (The Hobbit), and I really think they're going to have a few winners on their hands.  Predator is quite simplistic, somewhat older technology, but looks like they really love creating it as well, and should be very fun. I didn't get a chance to play Predator, I did get a couple of games in on Wizard of Oz, but it really takes me at least 10 games on a new machine before I'm particularly comfortable with it.   Which led to me not having near as much fun in a room full of farking amazing pinball machines, because there were lines at all of them, and i couldn't sit and play one several times in a row to get it's feel.

In my youth, under the age of 11, my best friend's mother owned a bar and grill. She would, every now and then, take us to work with her. There were three pinball machines there. She worked pouring drinks and cooking food and feeding us coins to play the machines. My buddy and I reached a point where we would get a few quarters and play those machines to the point that we were tired of playing pinball. My favorite machine there was the Bally Mata Hari:
