Well, I probably won't come running, because DC lost me as a customer.

Their Nu52 crap did the one thing for me that they can't afford to do to any reader... they made me break the weekly habit. Once a comic geek stops going in for their weekly fix, it's over.

Not to worry. It will get all sorted out during the annual Crisis event.

I'll preface my post with some perspective:  I never read any comics until about December 2012.  I knew all the backstories from animated series, so I started reading various Batman titles from the start of the New 52.  For Batman Incorporated, I read the original run before reading the New 52 version.

So now, on to my comment:
Batman Incorporated sucked just as bad before the New 52 as it did after.

Let a Franchise die, pass the torch to a new character and move on.


I love comics, and manga. One of the things I hate about western comics is the constant reboots, retcons, reinventions, and reimaginings.
One of the things I like about manga, for the most part, its one big run, a set number of books, with a complete beginning, middle and END story wise, and several hundred pages per book on average. Not 25 pages, 8 of which are ads for other comics.


Please Marvel, Please DC, Please please please, move on, tell us new stories.

My library has all of the New52 graphic novels and I have read the whole of the first round and a few of the second.  The Batman vs. Owls story was the best one by far.  Batman Inc. was one of the weakest.  I think we're now on Origin #4 for Wonder Woman.  Some of the weird/horror/western title surprised me as I have never been a fan of those comics genres before.  I figure at least half of the 52 won't make through year two though, just some really lame stories and art.

Any good new series out there? Hooked on Saga right now, and looking for something else to get into.

You know things are bad at DC when they hired Liefled for a series and actually expected it to be anything except an utter disaster.

Jesus Christ, I know that Liefeld is terrible but, someone paid him money for that, then actually published it?

At least he got the feet right this time.

I think Saga is the best book out there right now. I'm also enjoying Manhattan Projects and, while not new, Invincible.

I think Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan's writing of Deadpool has been pretty funny and entertaining, too.

Everybody, everybody.... It's okay. The New 52 will end soon enough. Superman will let down his guard after a huge Indian meal, and let loose with a vindaloo fart so powerful that he breaks reality  again.

And then the next thing you know, everyone will be different. The costumes will change slightly. People who were dead will suddenly be alive again. People who were alive will cease to exist. Superman's power levels will change dramatically only to slowly amp-up to pre-Crisis levels once more. Diana will wear pants-- no, wait-- She'll wear something else-- no, wait-- She'll look exactly like she did before until a different artist takes over the book. Wally and Barry will both disappear from reality and Jay will be the one and only Flash until issue 17 when they skip ahead four years and Jay's retired, Wally's dead, and Barry's the Flash again.

J'onn will be missing from this reality, but his niece will be there, and she'll be a hot, sexy, slutty alien who goes both ways. Nightwing will be the 28-year-old Dick, and he'll still have been the first Robin, having begun at 15 years old when Batman began his own career five years ago. Jason Todd will be dead, but he won't have been killed by the Joker or anything like that; Instead, he became the new Penguin and was murdered by Killer Croc, who in this reality is a hot, sexy, slutty woman who goes both ways.

Harley Quinn will change costumes and dress more like a girl from a Morris Day and the Time video. The Joker will get his face back, but this time he will be armless and African American. He starts all his statements to the Batman with, "Damn, son..."

Superman will once again be the only remaining Kryptonian. Kara will cease to exist. Power Girl will be a woman chosen at random by S.T.A.R. Labs as part of an experiment to see what happens when a woman drinks too much of Superman's semen. This will explain the massive hole in her costume over her cleavage, as well as giving audiences a credible source for her powers.

Aquaman will still wear than damned orange Atlantean scale armor, but he'll finally switch to black speedos instead of green tights. He will have both hands, but his feet will be replaced by flippers. His archenemy will go back to being called "Black Manta", but he won't be African. He'll be a Japanese whaler who went too far.

Superman will no longer be a reporter, or a blogger. Now he's a vlogger and he only works on YouTube making videos talking about how awesome he thinks Superman is. Lois Lane is another vlogger based loosely on Boxxy. Jimmy Olsen is now a paparazzo who follows superheroes in an effort to get upskirt shots.

Green Lantern will no longer be Jon, or Hal, or Guy, but instead he will originally begin as G'nort, and then when he dies in a horrible mustard-related accident, he'll pass the ring on to a new kid by the name of Dexter Cavendish, a multi-racial wiz-kid who loves science and pro wrestling.

The Justice League will consist of Wonder Woman (in pants, no wait, in a one-piece), Aquaman, Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Mistress Manhunter, The Batman, Batmite, Krypto and Captain Carrot.

The whole thing will be called Vindaloo 52 because the results will run for longer than we'd like, making us miserable.They'll eventually reboot again when Mr. Mxyzptlk and Mr. Mxyztplk accidentally swap clothes, causing the multiverse to collapse in on itself and reset to the Silver Age.
