How do they know the "sorry" tag was not the beginning of the spree?  "Sorry, but this had to, and will be done" meaning.

Fiancé and I came home one day to see a homeless dude getting bottles organized on the lawn. The family is very "get off my lawn" types, so the fiancé rather gruffly goes up to the guy and says scram. He didn't feel good about it, and asked me. I said, nah, I would have been nicer, said something about how there are mean people in the neighborhood and how it was probably in his best interests to move along.

Next morning, we find "Happy New Year!" spraypainted on our MR2. I was a very unhappy person, as I had an 8 o'clock meeting with someone I had just met from church. Way to make a first impression (fortunately I parked a little ways off, so she didn't see, but like I said, I was pissed). I told the fiancé, "I think the universe just let you know you didn't handle that one right." Protip: if you don't care about the clear coat, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and a lot of elbow grease will take spraypaint off your car.

He could have done better than just homophobic and racial epithets and thrown in some slurs against the old, short, obese, and Dutch for completion's sake.

Sorry or not, I hope they catch the little dirt bag that did it.  Grafitti "artists" are nothing but common gang banger scum.

Good thing you brought this up...  I know that some people consider it "art" etc...  but I recently saw a commercial that I believe was for Pepsi that caught people doing nice things for others via street cameras and such.  However, towards the end of the commercial it shows some kid spray painting "Peace" on something that I believe wasn't his property.

I stopped the DVR and went back to look again and said "What the hell is Pepsi promoting here... vandalism?  Am I wrong to think this way?  He could of did this on a blank billboard or something that would be eventually be covered up.

Sock Ruh Tease: Judging by the Anarchist sign, the "nice car you got there" on a boat, and the apology for graffiti written in graffiti, I'm left to assume that these are hipster vandals we're dealing with. All the police has to do is send out another group of hipster vandals using spray cans, and the first group will switch to something more underground, like fingerpaint.
