I started watching Anchorman, but turned it off after 10 minutes because it was just so cheesy and obvious. Did it get better?

Here's the best thing about Anchorman: It's a comedy, and there is not one line in it that isn't a joke. Do they all land? No. But every single word in that movie is trying to make you laugh, and I appreciate the hell out of that.

Wait, Owen Wilson was in the first Anchorman? I think the writer meant Luke Wilson.

Which is why I loved it as well. No message, no agenda-just something funny.

If you didn't laugh in the first ten minutes, you won't at all. It's not as if it throws curve balls at you.

If you don't find at least four things to laugh at in Anchorman, then you have no soul.

Not true for everyone. I hated the movie until the fight scene. After that it clicked and I thought the rest was hilarious.

My wife and I left the theater about 25 minutes in when we first saw it.  Now that I've seen it a few more times, I can appreciate some things about it, like the blatant littering and sexism, but I still wouldn't put it anywhere near my list of top comedies.  It was a middling comedy with an awful lot of Will Ferrell, and you really have to like Will Ferrell to make it through the movie.

Anchorman: 60% of the time works every time!

I find if you tell someone "hey this is really funny, watch it" they will sit there waiting to pee their pants laughing and not really enjoy it.  If they find it on their own, they will have no preconceived notions and will probably like it.

This is exactly how I feel about Bridesmaids.

People just GUSHED about how hysterical that movie was, and when I finally saw it, I thought "um, ok. I don't get what the big deal is." I think the only part I actually laughed out loud at was when the fat one steals the puppies from the shower.

Hands down the best scene from the movie.

Well Kidman and Ferrell certainly hit it out of the ballpark with Bewitched. No way can this reunion go wrong

This concept kept me from enjoying "The Hangover."

Gotta laugh at people that are douchey enough to bash a movie that they didn't even watch a half hour of. What were you expecting, a Woody Allen film?

I watched it once a day for about a year, and found it funnier each time.
