Dammit, Fox & Friends--why must you say something I agree with??

I don't understand the controversy about Obama's remark.  Plenty of people commented on how pretty Palin was and nobody said boo.  He's not allowed to compliment a pretty woman?  It's not like he gave her a backrub or anything.

The sensitivity to this is that its not something you would say about a guy- that he's both good at his job and handsome.  The subtext is that attractiveness is traditionally a fundamental part of a woman's worth.  Once we get past that- where women are accordingly represented and valued, then a comment like this won't be an issue.  Until then, it represents latent sexism.

Now that aside- do I have a problem with his comment?  No, not if the target of it doesn't.  She has that right, for the reasons I mentioned- and has chosen not to exercise it.  That's good enough for me.

Best line:   "If anybody's going to be upset, it should be Eric Holder. "

The real sign of the apocalypse is that the left is finally realizing that Fox is Fair and Balanced.

Fox News has just become too mainstream liberal MSM media. I have Glenn Beck in my TV box instead.

/power, how does it work?

The funny thing was 0bama's follow up to the comment after he heard the reaction from the audience.
Classic.

Where did you hear that?  I'm genuinely curious.  Because I've hit "mute" on my TV countless times to avoid hearing yet another liberal bemoan the "sexist" remarks.

Either you're kidding or you actually base your view of liberals on what ulta-conservative infotainers say about them.

Its more like I'm astounded those normally right wing trolls without a lick of common sense among them could come up with a non threatening comment about Obama. Sort of like I'm astounded you accused anyone that doesn't like Fox n Friends of being "liberal."

I'm a female, and I see it as a joke that didn't come out as he meant it.  Is it a bit sexist?  Yes- but our society will never move past that completely, and this was utterly benign.  When he starts making comments about how raped women must keep their babies, then I'll care.

Don't you see, libtardarino?  It's exactly the same thing, and the only reason libtards aren't as angry about this as the cornucopia of rape comments is because we worship him.  Also, Bengazi.

ORLY?

Introducing HUD secretary Shaun Donovan last February, Obama declared, "There he is, the good-looking guy in the front here."

At a speech last March, Obama pointed out his secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, by calling him "a good-looking guy."

A couple of months ago, Obama gave a shout-out to the "outstanding Secretary of the Navy," Ray Mabus. "There he is right there - the good-looking guy over at the end."

Obama even extended his favorite compliment to the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins. "I have to say all of you look pretty good without your playoff beards," Obama said during a White House ceremony. "They're pretty good-looking guys without all that."

With all the thousands of hours of news programming Fox has done since Obama has been President, you couldn't put together a half-hour clipshow of positive thiings they've said about him.

Oh, and I don't trust your judgment over whether a comment is positive or negative about Obama. If I said that Obama ate shiat sandwiches, you'd defend him by saying "No he doesn't, he don't like bread."

You have an ironclad grasp of the situation.  Yep.

This, Mr. Obama, is why you should not make this kind of silly remark.  The "broads is broads" brigade over at Faux will leap to your "defense," and that's a hell of a lot worse than the criticism.  They suddenly found a cause for solidarity with you.  Creepy, revolting, rib-poking, "hey, you'se one of da guys who gets it, wink wink" solidarity.  In your place, I'd be taking several very long showers a day.

Is Obama an Alien Lizard Overlord? We'll tell you why he propably isn't. Next on Fox and Friends.

But just for the record, the British Royal Family and the Bushes are still prime suspects.

Obama, sixth cousin 16 times removed of my 11 times great grandparents. I'll have to see if I can get that down to 10th cousin some day without adding 100 stupid British Royals to my family tree.

I'm collecting Reptilian Overlords!

Also the 13 Diabolical Families of the Illuminati. I figure they have to let me join their little club if I can prove I am descended from all the same ancestors as they are. So far I have the Rockefellers (?), the Van Dynes, the Morgans, the Bushes, and a lead on the Rothschilds (very shaky).

Woo hoo! I mean "splendid".

Fox and Friends are not totally a faith-based truthiness write-off! Yaaaaay! Talk about lowered expectations. Can journalism get any lower? Oh, wait! Alex Jones.
