Don't get me wrong, I loved the series. I loved the goofiness, the wackiness, and that often masked a fairly dark heart underneath, and even the revival of a few elder Creature Shop armatures that showed up from time to time--yes, Virginia, the Skekis DO live again--and the chemistry between the characters, even those in a lot of makeup and prosthetics was fantastic. Even with characters that were simply puppets like Rigel. There was a heart to the whole thing, and the show never took itself too seriously, but it never strayed too far from that dark place either--if anything, the humor was a good foil to that, to leaven it. It did an episode where John became a Loonytoons character. It reveled in the humor, but still kept the characters grounded, and the relationships were what kept you in the series. I loved the show, but it ran its course, and I think it ended well enough. I'm glad that the show got a chance to finish itself. To give the characters a place to come to, and run their course. Firefly? That was just getting started, but Farscape, they had their run. Babylon 5, they completed their saga. I think it's better to leave off, and let actors keep on with their own careers.

I do, however, agree with you. Even though PKW was a little rushed, it tied up pretty much all the loose ends rather neatly. Any follow-on would be, what, the adventures of little D'Argo Sun-Chrichton?

Gotta agree with the others, PKW ended it well enough. Loved the show, it's always nice to see a sci-fi show that can balance humor and drama decently, but it's done and over with. Just make more sci-fi that can maintain that balance, preferably ones that don't go all deus ex machina at the end.

My friend just got into Farscape and I find myself wanting to rewatch the series. At one point in an episode, I swear I saw Christmas lights being used for a prop. Love it.

It started with Chianna, Aeryn, John, and Rygel back on Hyneria and discovering that someone was trying to kill baby Crichton. It morphs into one of those universal detective stories from there.

You know, as much as I absolutely loved this show (and I consider it my all-time favourite sci-fi show), I don't think there needs to be a movie. As said, PKW wrapped things up well enough.

I also want to add that the Aeryn/John relationship had some of the best on-screen chemistry I have ever seen.

Mmmmaybe. One of my complaints with the show is that Aeryn Sun was a complete badass for 3 and a half seasons. Then she turned into a weepy "Why don't you love me?" person who would get dropped with a single punch.

Ben browder played mentally unbalanced very well on screen in that show. I really wish he had been given a better chance at escaping the sci-fi world and shown his chops in other projects.

You know, from what I can tell, he only really plays a version of himself well. Other than that he's a meh actor. Decent enough comedic timing and all, just not a good actor in more than a few types of roles.

Any episode where he's supposed to be under the influence of something he acts like a stereotypical stoned hippy. When the crew swapped bodies his method of being the other character was bad version of that character's accent. Pretend to be a Peacekeeper? Badly done English accent. You could see some of the other actors doing a much better job, they picked out some of the characters mannerisms and accents and meshed them well.

Don't get me wrong, I loved him as Crichton, and as Crichton 2.0 on SG-1, but they were both almost the exact same character.

He's had a couple of one off roles the past couple of years, Doctor Who, and Arrow come to mind. The roles were well within his capabilities, so he did fine. I had a great time chatting with Gigi edgly, Wayne Pygram and Lani Tupu at Seattle comic con several years back. There handler was getting them lunch so they weren't allowe to do any signings. So instead I talked to them for 15 minutes. Gigi was very sweet and I ended up pulling fuzzier from her hair (she had a wool hat on that she took off). I chatted with Wayne about his music that he records (using aboriginal instruments if I recall correctly). I actually learned that Lani was the voice of pilot the whole series.

Then the handler returned and I got autographs for my buddy who collects them.

/Ben Browder was the pilot of the plane that had a shot down fighter go through its tail section in Memphis Belle

Another reason not to do a Farscape movie is that Jon Hardy, the voice of Rygel, died last year, and it just wouldn't be the same with someone else in the role.

NO!

Please no. The show was cancelled before they had their last season, but they were at least able to show how awesome that season would have been with the Peacekeeper Wars. It was basically 13 hours shoved into a 4 hour window, and the crazy pacing looked like that. But the payoff was worth it, and made you realize that the full 13 hour season would have made the whole season holy goddamn motherfarking EPIC!

However, that's the end of it. Fin. Done. Any extension of that awesome finish would ruin the series as a whole. The only thing I would be interested in would be an actual Season 5, but given that it's already been spoiled with the PK Wars, I doubt that will ever become a reality.
