Here's what's on tap. As always, home team first, table position in brackets)

Friday:
1899 Hoffenheim (17) 3:0 Fortuna Düsseldorf (15)

Saturday:
Borussia Dortmund (2) - FC Augsburg (16)
Borussia Mönchengladbach (8) - Greuther Fürth (18)
Eintracht Frankfurt (5) - Bayern München (1)
Werder Bremen (14) - Schalke 04 (4)
Bayer Leverkusen (3) - VfL Wolfsburg (12)
Hamburger SV (9) - SC Freiburg (7)

Sunday:
FC Nürnberg (11) - Mainz 05 (6)
Hannover 96 (10) - VfB Stuttgart (13)

FCB winning the league has been a done deal almost from the start with only one loss in 27 matches. BVB and Bayer look fairly safe for the Champions League, especially since both are at home against teams they should beat. The real action is below the big three. Five points separate places 4 through 10, and places 4-6 land in the Europa League next year (and 4th place has a chance at the CL by playing a home-and-home qualifier).

Down at the bottom, Fürth is certain to drop down to the 2nd league. Augsburg and Hoffenheim are battling to avoid the second drop spot and try to remain up top by winning a home-and-home set with the 3rd-place finisher from the 2nd league. However, Düsseldorf (and maybe Bremen) aren't completely out of the woods yet.

I actually hope Bayern wins the title today and proceeds to the CL semis on Wednesday. Because next weekend I want them to be hung over and lackluster.

Bayern misses a penalty.... dammit.

Dortmund up 1-0. This is the perfect opponent to have in between two CL matches. Give the starters some rest.

...and just as I post that, Augsburg comes back with two. Ugh.

Can Bayern still wrap this up even if they lose if Dortmund loses too?

Maths is hard.

Yes they can. Same if they both draw. The only way they don't wrap it is Dortmund win + FCB draw or loss.

Agreed, bit I'll be pissed if BVB lose to Augsburg.

2-2...Schieber again. I'm starting to feel a little better about things.

Bastian Schweinsteiger FINALLY puts one in the back of the net with a beautiful backheel with the backleg. After about 30 shots that went 99000000 feet above the net, this was a nice change of pace.

Looks like Dortmund just drew even too Sir

If that is the goal that Bayern wins the Bundesliga with, angels will cry.

Beautiful.

This matchday is taking years off of my life and it shouldn't be. I don't know why I'm so damn stressed.

2013-04-06 10:55:41 AM
And that's two times Shaqiri has done something stupid and selfish instead of being a team member in the last 5 minutes

2013-04-06 10:58:57 AM
Will Frankfurt get a goal?  Even Hamburg got 2 in last week's 9:2 distaster vs. Bayern

Why stress? You have six weeks to pull a couple of points.

2013-04-06 11:07:47 AM
Leverkusen might be leaving a couple of points on the table.

Exactly, it makes no sense lol, but my brain won't calm the hell down.

Oh man, great save by Neuer. I thought that was going in.

Frankfurt is also initiation Operation: Dive. Every time I look up another red shirt is on the ground. It's like the Italian Unification and Russian Civil War mixed into one.

2013-04-06 11:10:08 AM
Schalke is helping their case for the CL play-in, and 'Gladbach is only 1-0 up on the (by far) worst team in the league. Should have at least 3.

2013-04-06 11:10:34 AM
Neuer just saved a shot with his knee..... this is getting scary.

2013-04-06 11:11:36 AM
Fark... Score Frankfurt dammit!

My heart hurts right now. Why does Bayern want to kill me?

2013-04-06 11:15:53 AM
I don't think Bayern has made two successful passes in a row in the past 20 minutes.

2013-04-06 11:16:01 AM
A bit of a hand ball there...

2013-04-06 11:18:34 AM
If only Frankfurt understood the game started about 80 minutes ago...

2013-04-06 11:19:38 AM
Gladbach got their 3 points vs. Furth..  Bad for my Adlers...

2013-04-06 11:20:00 AM
Dortmund put the icing on that cake. 4-2.

2013-04-06 11:20:36 AM
and you got your safety goal in Dortmund. ... 3 minutes extra time in Frankfurt.

2013-04-06 11:22:12 AM
BAYERN!

2013-04-06 11:22:31 AM
And that's that. Congratulations Bayern. Well deserved.

I'm glad we got a Krambacher commercial instead of watching the celebration....

Fark.... oh well.. Congrats Bayern...  Win the Champions League please.

Does Bayern go and try and break even more records and finish the season excellently  or do they just stop caring about the Bundesliga and let the starters rest for these games?

I'd let them rest if they have CL or DFB Pokal matches that week. If not, play the starters. Interesting one will be on May 4. They play at Dortmund three days after the second leg of the CL semifinal (which could conceivably be against Dortmund).

I was thinking about that earlier too! Will be interesting for sure.

Jupp will want as many records as possible, but he'll want the treble even more. I suspect that players like Schweinsteiger, Mandzukic, Lahm, Ribery, and Dante will all be rested before UCL games if possible. Kroos's injury means that Jupp has to play his cards carefully. The team is deep, but Bayern lost a key player for sure.

I suspect that for the most part we'll still see starters to keep them fresh, but before UCL games we'll have some Tymo Time, Gustavo, Contento, Super Mario, and Pizza Party.

I also expect to see a few academy kids playing, like Emre Can (if he's fit) and  Pierre Hojberg.
