I don't know which was funnier, the way he changed his set to really dress the guy down while still entertaining or the guy not getting that he was being dressed down.  The guy didn't even catch that he was given advice on a more appropriate time for his question.

I saw Christopher Titus at a small place like that once and the guy in front was trying to heckle, Titus destroyed him.  It was at least 30 minutes of going after this one guy.  It was the funniest thing I ever saw and the "victim" was laughing as hard as the rest of us.  Heckling is part of the show.

Why does anyone decide to become a stand up comedian?  It looks farking hard.  And unless you're really good at it, I can't imagine you make a lot of money doing it.

As a stand-up comedian I can say this...you don't get into it for the money.  Sure if you make it to superstar level you can make millions, but your average feature rakes in around 36K a year while a good headliner can rake in around 50-60K.  Mind you this is with to TV credits to speak of.

I personally got in to it for fun and to see if I could.  It is a lot of writing and editing and practice on stage.  No one is immediately funny...they've worked hard to get there.

It's mostly an hour of Jamie Kennedy being sad that people don't like his comedic genius, though.

Haha that was pretty good.

Couple of good lines in there really made me laugh, and considering at least it looks like he just made it up on the spot, he's pretty quick on his feet.

My heckling was ten times funnier than his material. He was a good sport about it, at least.

Burr was pissed that the crowed booed Dom Irrera, a Philly native who had just gotten off the stage.

That wasn't his intended routine.

Heckling is only part of the show because there is always one douchebag who thinks he's part of the entertainment. Sit the fark down, shut the fark up, and let the comedian do his job. You're not funny and no one wants to hear your contribution to the act.

Yeah, I'm SURE everyone who was there that night agrees.

Just like any other type of performer, there are good ones and there are bad ones. If they're bad, just let them finish their gig, give them a subdued clap when they're over and let them go on their way. A comedian knows when he's having a bad night - no need to rub salt in the wound. The only people who heckle are low-class jerks, usually drunk and never funny. I've never tried stand up comedy, but it looks quite difficult. No need to be a dick to someone who's trying.

Absolutely.  It's not a conversation you farking retard.  You're not the only one in the room, the guy on stage is not talking to YOU personally.

I saw Jackie Martling once a long time ago, there was one stupid lunkhead off to the side of the stage who kept laughing and saying 'ohh Jackie, ha ha ha Jackie you're awesome haha' and talking to his friends around him.  Jackie finally stopped and tore into the guy, he shut up after that.
