Cyno01: I was thinking, if you froze 80 proof booze and then put the cubes in your mixer, so like a whiskey and coke that gets stronger as it melts, or would the booze ice cubes be so cold that theyd start freezing the drink?

I was wondering this as well- I've always been told that alcohol doesn't freeze, but anything will freeze if it gets cold enough. Why bother with making some wacky "ice cream" mixture when frozen balls of some sort of sweet liquor like coconut rum or southern comfort would be easier to make, and easier to describe to people trying them, as well as easier to control the amount of alcohol ingested? I'm inclined to try something like this, but I'd rather play it safe than risk making crappy ice cream that nobody wants.

Then again, I've posted before about my unnecessary alcohol preparations:

Left to right: Watermelon Jolly Rancher, Red Skittles, Cherry JR, Orange Skittles, Yellow Skittles, Sour Apple JR, Green Skittles, Blue Raspberry JR, Grape JR, Purple Skittles

A time-consuming and tedious process to be sure. (the skittles, anyway- Jolly Ranchers dissolve cleanly in about 24 hours)

/candy vodak is great
//my fave: red skittles with lemon juice. Sour Strawberry Lemonade. Oh my yes.
