God yes. I have a coworker that shares her kids photos with me even though I don't want to see them. My boss has kids and my other coworkers have kids but they don't shove pictures of their kids in my face unless I specifically ask them about it.

Honestly, if you don't enjoy your friends happiness through their kids, block them.  Or are you so needy as to not ever let your friend count drop?  You can even personalize your feed to avoid people who you think post too much!  OMG, so many options.  Complaining about it should be your last one.

I have friends on Facebook who are single-issue posters. More than one of them only post pics of their kids. One only posts dog pictures and there's one who seems to post nothing but pictures of boats. I find them all equally annoying.

I don't have facebook (you're welcome, children of mine) so I'm not sure how this works. Are you somehow forced to look at pics of other people's kids? Who cares if they plaster their page with potty training pics? Just don't go look at them.

I'm a photographer and a proud parent. As my child gets older and wants to start dressing up as his favorite characters from cartoons/movies/comics I intend to take pictures of him as those characters. And I will post them to Facebook AND YOU WILL MOTHERfarkING LIKE IT!

Read the article, and I am a parent.  Wasn't really offended.  To me the biggest problem with her argument is the same problem she has with the parents: nobody really cares or should care.

If you don't like the prevalence of child sharing, don't be friends with them or don't follow them.  Likewise, if you don't want to be made fun of, stop sharing every little moment of your precious snowflake's life.

In either case, complaining about it is like complaining water is wet or people vote differently or that internet has more cats than people.
