We're inspired by every single mother, or we're inspired by every. single. mother?

// why not both?
// also, has no one ever heard the laments from parents whose spouse often work (or just simply "is") away from home - military families especially - as being "like a single parent"?

JFC. Really people? It's weird that the Obamas are the first presidential family that got heat for things like having help around. You know, because it makes sense for the President to take time walk his dog during the day instead of paying some guy 40k a year to do it.

It's almost like there is something different about the Obamas.  Something right at the surface that people notice easily and strikes them visceraly, something deep seated with a long and nasty history in the US.

I'm drawing a blank guys.  Any thoughts?

I like making fun of politicians for misspeaking as much as the next person (put food on your family is still funny), but when they IMMEDIATELY recognize that they misspoke and walk it back, then there's really nothing to make fun of. People screw up, and if they catch it they get the mulligan, if it hits the airwaves unchallenged, snark away.

Obviously, they are saying that the marriage of Barry and The Mooch is a complete and utter sham, and that they have been secretly divorced for some time now and have been lying to the American people like the lying, lying, liars that they are.

That's fine, they way I hear Mitch talk, he's gonna make him a 2-term President.

Good riddance!  I mean, edamame?  Really?  In my day, school lunches were watery chicken noodle soup and Jack & Jill ice cream sandwiches.  F*cking elitists.  And on 12/7, too.  Dickish elitists.

This is my absolute favorite comment from the freep thread about this:

One of the things I admired about George W. Bush was that for him, all women ended at the neck. In every photo, or every time you saw him on TV, if he was with a woman, he was looking her right in the eye. After eight years Bill Clinton's the leering and groping, it was a welcome change.

Well there was that rumor that she was planning to leave him before it looked like he was presidential material that made it to the respectable tabloids. You knew, the "more respectable than bigfoot-marries-nessie but still not quite news" rags.

Maybe it was just a fruedian slip.
