What about the northwestern pacific tree octopus? Are they still threatened?

In fact, for a long time researchers were amazed that the supposed Seychelles turtles looked so deceptively similar to the West African turtles

lol

So some random 19th century sailor picks up turtles while in port. Takes them home to his kids. Who then get board, and turn them lose. Then some egghead finds them. Bingo new species.

Extinction is a natural part of our world. Things either evolve and adapt or go extinct. Why do hippies think I should be upset and/or feel responsible for this? We are the top of the food chain, if you can't come to grips with that feel free to leave it.

What do creationists and conservationists have in common?
They don't believe in evolution.

We're a lot more than just the "top of the food chain."  We're also the only animal species to be able to contemplate our existence beyond our own lifespan.  It's the individuals decision whether or not to care about the world beyond itself, but if you've got the capability to do so, may as well use it.  We are not destined to destroy everything before us, we have the ability to be good stewards of the world and we should do so if it's not too inconvenient.

So, what about species that were doing fine untill we drove them to extinction or near extinction? Buffalos? Passenger pidgin?

Well this just proves that none those so called "extinct" or "endangered" animals don't exist. I've never seen a chimpanzee but scientists claim that chimpanzees are endangered. Their fore chimps aren't real. Pandas are just one of them black bears spray painted white. Wolves are just big coyotes. It all makes sense!

Well said. I am not in a position to make decisions that would render a species extinct or save it so I'm not going to lose sleep over it, I'll comfortable knowing the granola eaters are weeping for hundreds of species of insects going extinct every year.
