We need to arm all TSA employees with off-duty cops.

2013-04-05 12:59:32 PM
Police cops at that

Hero tag? If he had helped the woman beat the carp out of the TSA agents, then he would have deserved the hero tag.

2013-04-05 01:03:22 PM
They'll put him on the no-fly list because he showed them up..

DrPainMD: Hero tag? If he had helped the woman beat the carp out of the TSA agents, then he would have deserved the hero tag.

Heh.  That's probably a bit extreme, but the TSA does need to go away.

2013-04-05 01:04:01 PM
Everyone of the TSA employees in the video was 50+ pounds overweight.

2013-04-05 01:05:35 PM
A TSA security officer who went over to stop her was promptly attacked by the violent woman, and several travelers in the security terminal began screaming.

Seriously? That's my cue to break out a lawn chair and snacks.

And that's the end of that chapter!

I don't know any other tag for someone who is a "Police cop".

And again, the cameras magically work when the footage is flattering or fits the bill for keeping the public scared, but the footage is magically lost or the cameras magically inoperative when it makes the TSA look bad. Nothing to see here.

2013-04-05 01:06:17 PM
He tackled someone trying to bypass the security measures. Even if nothing dangerous was to come of it (the person was just a twat rather than dangerous), she was still in the wrong.

We need to bring back caning.

2013-04-05 01:06:33 PM
Hero Tag got marched out a little early.

But good for you, Officer. You subdued a very pissed off lady.

Thank you! I could not for the life of me remember where I heard "Police Cops" from. And now I feel bad that I forgot a Simpsons reference.

The TSA is a jobs program.  A good citizen would appreciate the favor and not complain.

2013-04-05 01:08:26 PM
Awesome.  I wish you could just press a button every time was acting like an asshole and this guy would leap in from off screen, and choke throw them to the ground.  TSA sucks, and the policies our government enacts that force them to treat us all like idiot cattle rather than target real security threats (ie, Middle Eastern men between 15 and 45) is ludicrous, but the agents at the gates are people and no one (especially for that salary) needs some line jumping asshat throwing punches when they're just trying to get through their shift.

2013-04-05 01:09:34 PM
Let the firings commence.  How about the bald TSA guy staying behind the counter waving his hand while the passenger jumps the other rail and subdues the chick?  Let's start with him.

Shocking that the 50+ year old, morbidly obese woman wasn't prepared to handle...well, anything.

2013-04-05 01:10:53 PM
I love how the first TSA officer to "respond" never got his fat ass over the railing.

2013-04-05 01:10:57 PM
Every one of those TSA agents had incredbily large butts.  These are supposed to be the last line of defense between the innocent traveller and the evil terrorists?  Really?

And yeah, I am saying it, those safety personnel or whatever they are called, need to be in good physical condition in order to do their jobs.  If none of them could stop a woman from assaulting one of the government's finest... should they be trusted with the task of stopping dangerous terrorists from blowing up you and your family while you fly from Ohio to Kansas?

laughing, I wish more people erred on the side of right
especially when it is a righteous use of slam that beyotch.
Not a fan of the tsa, but I hate rudeness
who the hell gets mad in hawaii?

Lived in a boys home near pinole, never had a problem with those blue boys

One would think that living in Hawaii would make them more weight conscious. That, and having a job that requires one to be fit under emergency situations.

Looks at police cops references, hands out backpats, good work boys!

Did you see that one fatty from the TSA trying to hoist himself over the same type of wall the officer did with what appeared to be little effort?

I could just hear it now... "ehh... ehh... ugh... oof... eh" - and I'm surprised his pants didn't explode during the process.

2013-04-05 01:13:23 PM
You can tell he's an off-duty cop because he doesn't keep beating her once she's handcuffed.

No shiat, how can you claim to "secure" anything when you can be defeated by a brisk walk?

Why would anyone go to Kansas? Hell, why would someone have been in Ohio to begin with?!

People who are too ignorant to take care of themselves are often drawn to totalitarian social structures which offer them the illusion of power and authority, in order to compensate for the hollow wreckage of their day-to-day lives. See also: Tea Party, NRA.

That was a nice take-down.

Good luck getting that the "no fatties" rule to fly for government hiring.

True, those Samoans are known for their thin figures.

Would like to know more about the woman who was tackled. For a bit before he tackles her she seems to be more hanging on the agent to keep from falling down than attacking the agent.

FLMountainMan: The TSA is a jobs program.  A good citizen would appreciate the favor and not complain.

Most jobs programs don't give participants the power to grope, harass and otherwise screw with people's lives with no realistic recourse on the part of their victims.

Homeless chick Fighting with a TSA officer in Hawaii airport with an off-duty cop nearby?

Puts on Sunglasses

She is about to get leis-ed out.

Yeaaaaahhhhhhhh

Did anyone watch the same video I did?  The guy showed up 5 seconds before the rest of the TSA agents came to help.  Its not like the TSA wasn't on top of it.  The police office had better technique than the TSA officers, though.

Hey, I watch American tv sometimes, isn't Ohio where Honey Boo Boo lives?  I know it's one of those states, Ohio, Illinios, Georgia... they're all the same to me.  :)

I wouldn't go so far as to call the brother fat. He's got a weight problem. What's the ni**er gonna do, he's Samoan.

Interesting, because my old man was a lifer in the military, and he had a bit of a weight issue at one point. He was ordered to reduce his girth and was put into training to get to his fighting weight as prescribed. I don't know why the TSA allows such unhealthy looking people in its ranks where being able to fend off an attacker is apparently in the job requirement. If it's not a requirement, it looks as if it needs to be.

Also, screw the TSA and their useless mission.

2013-04-05 01:22:50 PM
That 3-0 score is just this week, right?

He's lucky the TSA agents didn't tase him.

It is like a video of giant butts on legs.

I watched a male TSA agent wave his hand at a woman who had a female TSA agent by the neck, while a passerby intervened and stopped the assault.  Then the TSA idiots came from all directions and generally panicked.

Yep, off duty cop jumps while a TSA guy (you can see his gloved hands) is still trying to figure out what to do. TSA wasn't on top of it, hard to believe the closest TSA responder was that much further away.

Lock the cabin doors and don't negotiate with terrorists.

Oh wait, we made that change too, and the rest is just expensive security theater?  Joke's on them, I like making strangers look at my balls.

You do not go to Security Theatre with the TSOs you want, you go to Security Theatre with the TSOs you can hire, for a while.
We tried hiring qualified, experienced peeps and found you can't get reasonable peeps to do this chit.
All you can hire is the Challenged.

You're not helping.

Is the HERO tag for the TSA officer?  Thank god she was there pacing back and forth or we would have another 9-11 on our hands!
