When I was in 5th grade, there was a show on channel 12, where they basically just aimed the camera at a comic panel and then had ~3 people reading what was on the page. It ran daily at 4:30. It was all Adam Strange. I never missed one. When I got my first actual Adam Strange comic, I was thrilled beyond words. More than any of his other work, to me, Infantino was Adam Strange.I'm sad to hear he's gone.
Besides giving us the wide open spaces of Central City and Ranagar, as cover designer, editorial director and publisher he changed the look of DC from the late 60s to the mid-70s. IMHO their comics became a decidedly more bland, corporate product afterwards.
