Rufus Lee King: Kyndig: For reference though...the pork producers and advertisers in the article have a point. The chop in the photo is a rib cut, if I'm seeing it right, and the "porterhouse" cut cooks very, very differently and, especially if you're grilling it, is generally a much better cut. I've seen other cuts called "pork chops" as well; it's a vague term. Most butchers price the cuts differently, and for good reason...still, I hope they're not dumb enough to think people will pay as much for pork as they do for beef just because they change the terminology. Then again...chilean seabass, rapeseed oil, etc. have all gone way, WAY up in price due to renaming...Wrong thread, but it sort of works.

RoboZombie: And yes, it is worse than other religions so don't even start.(not that I'm a fan of any religion....just calling a cot a cult)
hardinparamedic: This has been going on for decades now. It become really prevalent in the Fire and EMS community when Scientology targeted the 9/11 Responders to the WTC in New York with their "purification rundowns" claiming to be able to cure their lung and heart conditions through narcanon. It was also one of the reasons the 9/11 Responders Compensation Bill to provide for the continuing healthcare of those men and women was delayed for a decade, because a select group of them, along with the Scientologists, demanded to get federal money for their quackery.
Dr.Zom: Considering Hubbard was a con man and drug addict this makes perfect sense.
