We're home. Cracker Jack did not have a blockage, thank Ceiling Cat. Vet took some urine to test for crystals, gave us some pain medication and another medicine to help him urinate, and said to watch him carefully and if he starts having the same symptoms bring him back in.

Type at ft of Apparently Lucky Pg 13 before we head oot to get some kitty supplies, as mentioned. See CanadaPost has at least a 3-way grudge; against our fave Alien, akimbotoo & me. akimbo, I also sent a Box that was returned; CanadaPost  said she'd moved.  I tried again; it's been long enough that it oughta be there by now if it's not on its way back here.

Well, I hope the tests come back negative, but it still wouldn't explain the urine problem.  Hope he is back to his old self soon!!  Now go sit down and relax for a bit!!!  :D

The Phatness: Long time lurker, first time poster.  This is Bandit (big fatty orange kitty)  & Moxie (small cute dilute calico).  They are friends, for the most part, but get into it once in a while.  I think it's good![www.joshmerry.com image 850x634]

Bathia_Mapes: kevinboehm: Name it whatever you like, it's not like it's going to listen.

Not necessarily true. Some cats respond to the name you give them, others do not.

I once called my kitten by saying "C'mere Milk!" and he trotted into the kitchen. It's often about the tone of voice and the sound of food or treats hitting the dish more than the name. ;)

Oh.
Hai!
In order to apologize for my ongoing absenteeism (?) like the bad Alien I am, dealing with too much
health crap and other crap, crap, crap, crap everywhere...

I offer you all these latest pictures of Gremlin I received :3

...

Gremlin is looking great-- his foster family is really taking good care  of him. I know thatmakes it a little easier for you to be away from him.

So glad you're posting! Keep fighting, my dear!

Sounds like he needs to switch to a low ash food.
There was a cat at a place I worked that needed a low ash diet and he did fine with a grocery store brand for a few years before he was switched to the more expensive stuff at the vet.

Per my previous post, diet.. and no, don't ask me what color... :o)     Dinky suddenly started having reactions to what she had always eaten.. the special food fixed the problem...and she had the exact same symptoms...just sayin'....

Arg! Ivan has been sneezy and snotty for awhile, but not enough that it's bothered him or slowed him down. I mentioned it at the vet and we're trying an allergy pill to see if it helps any. Only, my sweet darling has apparently been labeled an "aggressive cat" at the vet because he hates it so much. He doesn't like his ears or mouth touched, so trying to get an allergy pill down him is ridiculously hard. We had to scrap last night's pill because it got too soggy and tried again this morning. I think it went down...

So my brilliant idea was to stop by the pet store on the way home today and get some of the Greenie's Pill Pockets. Smart, right? I also picked up some Hairball treatment treats of the same brand. Both Ivan and Tola got to try some of those when I got home.

Aaaaaand like usual with name-brand treats/food, within ten minutes, Ivan puked it all back up on the carpet. Bonus was it was a lovely pea green shade this time. My biggest worry however was when Tola continually tried to toss something - turns out something was stuck in her throat and I had a huge moment of panic thinking she couldn't breathe. It's been awhile since then, and I've been monitoring her and she's back to her old self, no damage done. She's just being her - yowling and trying to eat plastic to get attention.

I get the feeling the Pill Pocket and the pill are going to end up on the carpet tonight if we try it...
