baka-san: I swear Zenwitch is ruining my wonderfully evil Pogo
GoldSpider: So I decided this past week that this house is far too quiet without the pitter-patter of a kitter-cat, and put in an application to adopt an 8 month old kitten from a local rescue organization. Is it considered bad luck/form to post pictures of him and start thinking about names before I actually have him?
professional_vampire: Hai, Caturday folks! Need some good thoughts, vibes, prayers etc. for my Cracker Jack. He just puked twice then went to the litterbox, got out of the litterbox and peed on the rug in front of the tub, then when he finished, we noticed that he has blood in his urine. Taking him to the vet ASAP. Hope it's nothing serious!

AlienDandelion: *drags her carcass in*Oh.Hai!In order to apologize for my ongoing absenteeism (?) like the bad Alien I am, dealing with too muchhealth crap and other crap, crap, crap, crap everywhere...I offer you all these latest pictures of Gremlin I received :3My my my...such a BIG boy he is getting to be!Hard to believe it's already been a year since I had to give him up.[fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net image 180x320]A typical Gremlin pose :3[fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net image 720x960]Look at that orange! Look at how BIG he is! :3[fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net image 720x960]Gremlin outside. I love the look on his face, clearly he is not happy about something hahahaha! :3
AlienDandelion: guy sits down across from me on skytrain, and proceeds to eat a non sliced loaf of bread. As in just nomming an entire loaf of bread...Bonus: saw this dude twice this week...and eating a loaf of bread each time.
Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: Day three of shiatake being here, and things are going OK so far. He's still a little intimidated by Waffles and Scampi, and has been spending his time under the stairs, but he came out last night and crawled into bed with the wife and was begging for tummy scritches. Looks like the wife not only got her Maine Coon finally, but I'm thinking he is going to attach himself to her. She was worried that I would be upset about it, but I told her it's a cat, and it will decide who it's master is, not us. Yes my heart still feels broken, and will be for a while. If the new cat attaches to her and not me, then as long as he's happy and content, then so am I. I think he'll be skittish for a while, but that's understandable. Pirogi is cracking me up in that he and shiatake are kind of bonding. Under the stairs is Piggy's spot, and I was worried that something might happen, but there haven't been any fights yet, and now Piggy is taking him food by filling his mouth with it, then walking over to the stairs and spitting it out on the floor. I saw him do this and thought he was getting sick until I saw a paw come out and grab some of it. Never saw anything like that before and just had to laugh. As for the other critters, we're more than likely days away from our second brood of bearded dragons. Sage is beyond pregnant and ready to burst, so they're coming soon. Papaya is much more active in his cage, so he's adjusted to being here now. The ferrets are still terrorists, so nothing ever changes with them. As for me, I'm still healing and miss my boy, but life goes on here, and if you're not paying attention, the furry and scaly things here will run over you. I'll try and get some pics of shiatake today, but he's still a very shy boy.
AlienDandelion: Oh.Forgot to say many thanks again for the Young Day wishes sent by all.And thanks to Lilyspad for the TF.I see I have a lot of catching up to do.HAhahahah!!!I don't know what made me laugh more - the cat yelling NOOOO or the guys laughter:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PM5BCjNswd0&feature=youtu.be
AlienDandelion: lilyspad: [i.imgur.com image 500x457]Awww.What's the fun in that?>;PThings I saw in Vancouver this week during my travels to work and appointments that made me go Dafuq?!- two guys getting escorted off the skytrain by security...carrying a kings sized ratty looking mattress...- guy getting on skytrain with a bike. Then he turns around and I noticed a pomeranian strapped to his chest like a baby...- guy sits down across from me on skytrain, and proceeds to eat a non sliced loaf of bread. As in just nomming an entire loaf of bread...Bonus: saw this dude twice this week...and eating a loaf of bread each time.

Brian Blessed's Bastard Boy: Not cat related, but how I spent my day so far with the family. After three years of not liking this (I'm old fashioned and don't have much hair anyway), my son finally grew enough to donate to Locks of Love. He told me this a couple of years ago when it was time for a haircut. I didn't believe him at first, but he kept up with it, and below are the befores and afters. It's nice to finally have a son who isn't mistaken for a girl a lot of the places we go to. Now the daughter has a few more inches to go and she'll be ready to donate. Both saw a special on TV about kids with cancer and decided they wanted to do it. I was overseas at the time, and never gave it much thought, but the stuck with it and I am very proud of him and her.[sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net image 720x960][sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net image 720x960][sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net image 850x637][sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net image 720x960]The end result. There will be a lot of sad girls at his school on Monday.

Took a while to get him out from under the stairs, but he'll stay in there for a couple of days, then we'll re-integrate him with everyone else in the house. He's a very lovely young man, and very personable once he gets over being scared. Piggy is sniffing at the door, so we'll let him in there as well for a while a little later.

AlienDandelion: Also...Is it a sign that I cannot go to any wards in two different hospitals without hearing:"Uh oh! Here comes trouble!"and then watching as both workers AND patients all turn or crane their necks (to see out of their rooms) tocheck if it's actually me?Heh. Maybe that should be telling me something.I sure love it though when I see patients break into smiles and see them waving at me from their rooms and try to get my attention.I always make sure to say Hi to everyone and gently joke with them and the staff. Most of the people I work with don't like it - but I don't care. The positive reactions from the other hospital staff and especially the patients - speak louder volumes. Even if I may be feeling crappy myself, it always makes me feel good at the end of every shift that I was able to make others smile./no idea why I'm all chatty and sharing all of a sudden[encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com image 353x143][encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com image 228x221][encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com image 265x190]
Debby7813: It is with a heavy heart that I tell you, my Caturday friends, of my Dinah's passing into the Summerlands. Her 18 years in this world ended early Wednesday morning, as she was eased out of her old, tired, sick body into the next world. My daughter (a vet tech), our favorite kitty doc, another vet tech friend, and I were there to send her on her journey. Fare thee well, my old friend.
