Is this the part where the Imperialist Pigdog  cyberterrorists have launched the pre-emptive strike and he is now justified at making war?

It would be a few of their million, not us or our allies.   I'm betting at most NK can hurt maybe 20K people outside of it's border.

I think their control over the country is weakening and they fear the commoners finally revolt.  Having the devil aka the US attack them would be the best possible thing for them to secure power.  But if we ignore them and they continue to build nukes, we'll be screwed then too.

I would not at all be opposed to tax dollars going to finding and arresting whoever did that. It was incredibly stupid and could cost thousands of lives. Probably not, but still - just a stupid, stupid idea and they'd know that if they followed the news at all. The US government doesn't think anything will happen, but they're still on full alert because it MIGHT. That is reason enough not to poke the insane, starving grizzly bear with a stick.

Well if this causes WWIII, I say once its all over and done with we find Anonymous and summarily drag them all to what's left of The Hague.

There is a right time and a wrong time to pull a stunt like this.  While it most certainly had to be done, now wasn't the time.

The unfortunate reality of it is, whether or not it causes an incident, it's going to have repercussions. I would be quite surprised if we don't see new legislation to even further censor or limit internet access once things cool down. THANKS OBANON.

Honestly, it's highly unlikely to cause WWIII. Kim Jong-Un must be aware of all his memes floating around on the internet.

That's okay, because the US gets most of their military intel and analysis from FARK so... it evens out.

That doesn't sound like it would be for the lulz. Hacktivism goes about as far as you can throw it outside of a very small segment in that group, and you know it (obviously) as well as I do.

awalkingecho - i do know it -and it wouldn't be for the lulz

i dont agree with anonymous due to their mission statement - but i believe in channeling the more destructive, yet skilled, approaches when possible. Sort of like that tv show "it takes a thief"?

I think this particular hack was badly timed with bad content and won't do anything positive - which, given some of the skills needed to pull this off, is a waste.

Unless WWIII is North Korea vs. everyone else on Earth.

2013-04-04 01:53:25 PM
Depends on how involved China wants to get. And I know the day after NK's last nuke test, a couple hours before the State of the Union, Ruski bombers were intercepted circling Guam. Interesting timing; could be waiting for an opportunistic moment with forces tied up in the East.

Or not, but it's a remarkable coincidence and it's fun to put on a tinfoil hat sometimes.
