Damn near the same thing happened to me. Except it was our apartments fence...it was raining...and i was kind of drunk. I went to get some smokes and forgot my keys. Our gate will only open with a physical key so I usually just hop it when i forget mine. I remember getting on top and my foot slipped and then hanging there for awhile. My neighbor found me and called the ambulance. They cut me off and took me to the hospital. The doctors yanked the fence out and gave me a tetanus shot. And I was sent on my way the next morning. I decided then that maybe i shouldn't drink so much.

I wonder if it's an urban legend, or just something so common that everyone seems to know of one. The kid who did it in my school was also on my baseball team, so I know it actually happened.

This may come as a surprise to you, but some people further their education later in life, for their first degree or even after deciding they would like to get more disciplines or graduate school.

It's best to delay education as long as possible so you get the freshest stuff with the bugs worked out of it.  Like upgrading an operating system; you don't want to be a guinea pig. ;-)

Nah...just a lack of control on my part. And some other issues I had. And the state might have had a few issues with me as well. I still do drink but rarely. Alcohol didn't solve my problems, but I did have a lot of fun creating some!

Is there anything within reach?

And what are you doing on the fence naked?
And do you need help soonish?

Also, as for the guy in the story, of course he isn't going to take short cuts any more he got the point.

I separated my shoulder in a dirt bike accident a few years back.  The ball joint actually lodged in between my ribs maybe 3 down from shoulder and so i wasn't able to stand up straight.  Hurt so much I couldn't get in a truck or car.  Had to call an ambulance.  A firetruck, two volunteer firefighters, a state trooper, two county cops, and a local cop show up about 5 minutes later.  Fast forward to the hospital and after they were able to get my shoulder back in place a couple hours later, a cop walks into my hospital room and gives me a ticket for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, an unregistered motor vehicle, and trespassing.  As if my shoulder being farked up for the rest of my life wasn't punishment enough.  The trespassing one did get thrown out because the owner of the land never actually pressed charges. Stupid farking local biatch boy cop.

Property owner probally wants to not be liable for a law suit. Pressing charges let's him say he did not condone the use of the short cut.

Au contraire mon frère, I never would have passed Discrete Mathematics or got a brick in our school's wall if the newly appointed deans weren't so concerned about a solid inaugural graduating class.

Same for the 300 level language requirement, "Summer Intensive Language Program" saves the day.
