I've seen interviews with Frank Oz.

I don't understand how the guy who created Cookie Monster, Grover and Fozzie can be so goddamn boring.

The GF and I had a few puppets between us (mostly Fraggles).  One thing I've noticed is that when you have a puppet on hand around other people, they first thing they try to do is stick their fingers down the puppet's throat.  I got really good at making the puppets pretend to hurl.

In many ways, yes.  And the end result is the same.  ~5% become good at their craft, 94% are just creepy people, and 1% already raped you.
