Psycat: earthworm2.0: BarkingUnicorn: earthworm2.0: BarkingUnicorn: earthworm2.0: Why isn't this attempted murder?

Needs a dash of malice aforethought.

I think the law really should fall.by the wayside in certain situations. Like this one. Crimes against children, especially babies, just gets under my skin. I feel all stabby about it.

You're part of the reason we have laws.

You realize you are speaking up in defense of a guy who beat up a baby right? Yet somehow I'm part of the problem?

I think every accused person deserves due process.  Not to find some sort of BS technicality (burn in Hell, William Kunstler) to evade justice, but because too many innocent people get convicted.

However, once somebody is found guilty, then I'm all for draconian punishment.  To me, a punishment is 'cruel and unusual' only if it's worse than what the criminal did to the victim.  Blind a kid?  I don't think it would be cruel and unusual to make this asshole 'donate' his eyes to science.

BTW, folks, the 'eye for an eye' statement was put in the Bible to reduce violence.  In the Good Ol' Days before judicial systems delivered impartial punishment (in theory), if your neighbor poked out one of your eyes, you'd poke out both of his, bash his head in, murder his family, and rape his sheep.  This would lead to feuds that would make the Hatfield-McCoy affair look brief by comparison...

/yes, I think there's crimes so heinous that committing them means you've torn up and thrown away your membership card in the human race

I understand the value of due process.... Giving this guy a trial give some scumbag lawyer the opportunity to get this dude off on a technicality. But, you have a point, if there's a chance.he didn't do it, he deserves due process.... If he did do it.... There's no eye for an eye. This man deserves pain unimaginable, for as long as he can be kept alive to endure more. I certainly don't think he deserves any sort of humanitarian considerations. Some things are simply unforgivable.... Im not the best person in the world, hell, I'm probably not even a good person, but my sense of morality screams at me to inflict violence on anyone who could hurt a child.

Mugato: Thisbymaster: And there are people here who think that execution should be illegal.

I'm not against the death penalty because I don't think people deserve to die. I'm against it because they constantly find people on death row to be  innocent and therefore who knows how many innocent people were executed.

That's the one big argument I have against the death penalty--too many innocents being sent to death row.  Another argument is that I think that life without parole is not only reversible if there's a false conviction, but it's also much more painful than getting an injection and falling off into an eternal sleep.

If there WERE an infallible way of determining guilt or innocence which also took into account mitigating circumstances (self defense, mercy killing), then I'd be very, very brutal with punishment.  If John Wayne Gacy really did torture 33 boys to death--and he was proven to be 100.000000% guilty--he wouldn't get a lethal injection, not by a long shot.  He'd be strapped to a gurney with eight-point restraints, have a feeding tube jammed down his throat, he'd be given massive dosages of LSD and pain-enhancing chemicals, electrodes or some other non-lethal method of inflicting pain would be attached to him, and then I'd have the dial cranked up to 11.  With any luck, that subhuman POS would endure a few decades of unimaginable torture before he died.

And, folks, if I seem to be a bit vengeance filled, it's because a 5-year-old girl in my neighborhood was raped and killed by a piece of shiat who avoided justice.  I still dream of the day that this POS, his family, his evil bastard attorney, and anybody else connected to him get a taste of justice...

I am kinda disappointed with the quality too. My face tat is above my right eye, a half moon shape consisting of 4 circles, each a little smaller than the last, with shading to give the illusion of depth. It is tastefully done, and can be hidden with my hair. I got it done by my favorite artist, winner of many awards. If you are gonna commit, get it done right.

I'm a big fan of due process because there's been many times in the past where the cops will just grab some guy off the street if they're desperate to prove to the public that they can get their man.  Sending an innocent man to prison is, IMO, a crime in itself and I can understand the impulse to let a million bad men go free than send one innocent man to his doom.

Yes, give this person his day in court.  Don't let some scumbag shyster help him evade justice on a technicality, but otherwise give him his due.  And, if he's found guilty, then bring the hammer down on him very hard.  In general, I don't care for the for-profit prison industry, but it's worth it if this guy is guilty of blinding a small boy and gets 40 years in the slammer.

Mugato: Jesus Christ, why did I even farking read that? Goddammit. Fark.

What purpose does it serve to have such an article on this site?  To enlighten the public?  To anger people to the point of wanting to beat the shiat out of others?  Well congratulations Jew Curtis, you have done so...  I am not racist whatsoever, and have Jewish lineage.  I am calling him such because he has let this site become another sellout site for retards that watch Honey Boo Boo to make a couple bucks and exploit the unfortunate.  Maybe I shouldn't blame him 100%, but he should be aware of what content is placed on the front page.

I really wish this shiat wouldn't get approved.  Welcome to the evolution of FARK.  At first it was a great site where people make fun of each other, boobie threads daily, and debate with few trolls.  It has now become a site that sometimes just disgusts me to the point of not wanting to click on a link, but I do because of the headline.  Just a suggestion, this should have a SICK and a F'ING warning icon next to it if you still choose to post such garbage.  If you are going to put NSFW on things, you should warn others about these articles.  We are all aware of shiat like this happening, but reading and posting, and scumbags that joke about these articles are weak pussies that hide behind a screen.

As for the NSFW warning, if you can't look at some things at work and don't have full control, wait till you get home to look.  This shiat just disgusts me almost as everyone worshiping Will Wheaton as they are jerking off to the owner of this site.  F Drew, he is a sellout.  Did he have this in mind 15 years ago?  Another reason why I never was a "TotalFarker".  You guys are so farking cool and believe you are elite.  You pay to get news that is everywhere on the net.  I find more interesting things on AOL and other sites.

Frankly I just come to this site for the forum and reactions to the articles, because some of you are just hilarious and witty.

I do consulting, and I would advise that if Drew Curtis has or could have a platform to speak from...  oh wait, he does... he should start a fund for this child.

I stopped reading when it stated that the child became blind.  From what I read, and seeing the person that did such a despicable act, I am going to assume that this child will be placed in custody that might be good at first, but down the road he will be pushed aside.  A trust fund so to speak.

For example, when I owned a sports website, there was a little boy, I believe around 8 yrs old, from Florida that had his hand bitten off by a gator.  So a couple of us threw money together to get him a "fitted" PS2 remote because he mentioned in the newspaper that he loved to play video games and didn't know how he was going to do this.  The child was elated and very grateful, but we remained anonymous as a website.  Would you Drew?  I don't think so...  Maybe at one time you would have.

Sorry for the shiat that I just threw on your screen, but it is the way I feel at this moment.  Why?  Because of that article, you should be proud of yourselves.

I had this Neighbor from Hell once years ago.  For starters, he was extremely ugly and had the IQ of a Kleenex.  He spent half his adult life in jail, usually for stupid stuff like breaking into a liquor store--through the front window--when he needed a drink.  And, of course, Social Security was paying him to sit on his lazy ass and drink all day.  When we had this POS living above us, he'd regularly blast crappy Neil Sedaka and other shiatty 60s music at the top of the volume at 3 AM while drinking a case of beer, and one time, I woke up to find that one of our light globes was filled with piss that had leaked from his place.  He would also drive his car while drunk, in spite of having a revoked license, and the two cops on duty in the small town couldn't keep their eyes on him all the time.  Oh, and it turned out that HE was the serial arsonist who was setting small fires in the apartment building, including one next to the gas line which almost exploded.  Luckily, my wife caught him in the act and he got 1-1/2 years in jail (which probably didn't phase him a bit).

And, here's the kicker: in spite of being one of the 10 Most Farked-Up People in the Western Hemisphere, he fathered SIX, count 'em, SIX kids with the same woman.  She was mildly attractive, and you can only wonder what sort of mental illness or daddy-rape issues this woman must have had to be married to this jackwad.  And I'll lay 10 to 1 odds that at least three of his kids are institutionalized in some way.  This guy's a poster child for forced sterilization...

You know how the director came up with the idea for that film, right? One day he was joking with a friend about appropriate punishments for child molesters, and he just blurted out that each of them should have their lips sewn to the asshole of a big, fat, hairy, overeating trucker. And then he decided to make it into a movie.

I would say that's a good punishment, except for the poor truckers.

This is it exactly. If we had a system that was 100% reliable I'd support capital punishment. But, I don't trust a system that has a human component to be 100% reliable. Consider the damage done when executing a person. Most of the time that person has a family; parents, siblings, cousins, spouses, and/or children. It's one thing to cause grief to these people when the person executed is guilty. It's another thing entirely when the person executed is innocent. Since we cannot be 100% certain that those executed are guilty it's simply not worth the risk.

To as William Blackstone put it,  "It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer", If you don't buy that, try imagining that the innocent person suffering is you or someone you love.

One idea I think has merit is offering to put a lifer's kid through college if said lifer would inflict revenge on some bastard who deserves it.  Unfortunately, it's probably very illegal, otherwise it would be tempting to make an offer to some lifer who would burn this POS's face off with scalding water.  I don't want the POS to die, just scream in agony in some ICU and wish he were dead.

Another idea:  yes, they can lock up a thug and protect him from vigilante justice.  But what about the thug's family?  I don't think targeting innocent family members is a good idea, but if the thug is a POS due to his shiatty parents and said thug loves his parents--well, you can see where this is going.

One tiresome thing that the William Kunstlers and other thug-fellating assholes out there keep saying is, "How can you send a murderer to his death without becoming a murderer yourself?"  I have a great counter-argument:  "I don't claim to be better than Mr. Serial Killer at all--hell, I'm just as evil and deserving of damnation as he is.  It's just that if he has some magical right to go out and do horrible things to people, then I insist that I have the exact same right.  Sure, I'll use my Nietzschian disregard for morals to only target other evil bastards (a la Dexter), but I have a messianic complex and can send a hundred brutal MFers to a torture chamber and still sleep easily at night."

Nothing wrong with killing someone if they truly deserve a killing. If your only argument against the death penalty is one of superior morals than you should be ignored.

Imcompetent legal system
mistaken identity.
good arguments against. But the moral I dont wanna be a murderer violence is wrong thing is just so naive.

this dude should be a community punching bag.
Guarantee he lives in protective custody.

I hope I made it to the thread in time to point out how justice will be served only with a big heaping helping of prison rape!  I wish they would consider opening special rape prisons where regular people like you and I could pay a few dollars to partake in the rape of the guilty party.

He faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted.

Ordinarily I'm not a big fan of prison rape but in this guy's case I'm more than willing to make an exception.

/The Stabbys, I got 'em.

dying is too good for this guy.

I'm sure most of you have better ways of "offing" this human waste, but nothing comes to mind as the joyous occasion of having him encounter the welcome wagon when he's imprisoned. I just hope the judge handling the case doesn't fark it up.

Just give this guy the chair already. There's absolutely no reason for people like this to be alive, and some people should just be thrown away.
