Again, though, one party stole your beer. The other party stole your beer, dropped a deuce in the shower, killed your dog and set your house on fire.

Again, sorry about last weekend.

Wait a minute, both sides are bad?! I'd better vote Republican.

This is a free country.  You're allowed to buy Congresscritters that don't belong to your own party.

No, there's a hefty farkin' fee.

I could have dealt with the shower, the dog and the house if you hadn't stolen my beer first.  So your logic fails, as does your butthurt.

No, you usually have to pay extra for that.

A link that wasn't written in a 2 point typeface would have been far better appreciated... :-) My eyesight's fine, and that's a pain to try and read. I get the gist though, Carlin had deep insightful and 100% accurate stuff to say about politicians. The guy was awesome, that sums up his view on pretty much any topic he spoke out on.

Yeah guys, as much as I hate the GOP right now, I never expected the Dems not to have some assholes amongst their numbers... It's just that the Right is like 99.999897654667567766% asshole right now. The Boobieser summed the difference up perfectly, too...

I guess the article was only covering House Democrats -- I was expecting Schumer at the top of the list.

It amuses me that Wall Street decided that they didn't have to buy off Obama in 2012 (they thought he was a goner). They gave him a ton of money in 2008, but way less in 2012.

Now Obama won't even have to apologize when he signs the bills that I hope Warren will be sending him.

I also hope that I win the Powerball.

Look at it this way.

Compared to the Republicans, the Democrats DO have the goddamn common courtesy to give you a reach around.

Good to see the Lesser Evilists out in force.

Good. Dodd Frank is a terrible, reactive barn door closing law, passed by clueless idiots. It's essentially the "corporate compliance full employment act of 2010". It does nothing to prevent future financial crises and will only be a hindrance to the economy.

2013-04-03 06:20:48 PM
Yep, conservative capitalists are scum and are destroying to country regardless of what letter they have after their name.

There is a profitable entertainment venture in America where two sets of actors (pretty boys and heels) pretend to hate each other and take opposing views all while working for the same slime ball corporatists.

We also have 'professional wrestling' which is similar.

2013-04-03 08:03:50 PM
I'm confused. Who said the the Democrats were faultless? The difference is that the Republicans marched lockstep for their corporatist masters, while the Democrats at least proposed taking a  little bit of their money to pay for, you know, roads/schools/the military.

/Look at the last vote to reinstate Glass-Steagal, I think there were 3(?) Republicans who supported it in the house. THAT is why when people complain about corporate welfare they tend to blame Republicans rather than say "both sides are bad".

There are some real a**holes in the Democratic Party. There is no doubt of that. Some people who are Democrats are quite reprehensible. But you know what? The party platform is less eggregiuos, and that the difference for me. I expect that A**hole-Americans are everywhere. There are some pretty awful excuses for humans who have worked there way into institutions devoted to the most noble of causes. And still, on the whole, those institutions are better than the Aryan Brotherhood, even if there a few good sorts in the Brotherhood.

Is this nothing more than Lesser-than-evilism? That's exactly what it is. And why would anyone not choose the lesser of two evils when given only two choices?

i46.tinypic.com

It is spelled "Egregious."

/I agree with your post but couldn't miss that opportunity.
//Well, maybe not the part about good sorts in the Aryan Brotherhood.
