BTW, everyone was preoccupied by the Penguins' streak, but NBC Sports hardly mentioned the other mark set yesterday.  Ryan Miller passed Dominik Hasek to become the Sabres' all-time leader in games played.

And depending on how things go today, that may have been his final game as a Sabre as well.  I guess we'll see.

Saw what you will about the Slug.  I still liked it better than the snorting goathead jerseys it replaced.

At least the Slug had the right general color scheme.  Red and Black were never proper Sabres colors, and I was so happy to be done with them.

I still treasure my Buffaslug Afinogenov jersey.  I miss having that unguided missile on the team.

Not surprising- the win on Saturday was pretty emotional because of Crosby, but the Pens just came out flat in this game.  Hopefully they can pick up the pieces and get it back together.

Been a Ruff season in Buffalo?

Alot of people in Pburg are blaming Tyler Kennedy for last night's loss...but that's just how Pburg fans are. A third line center bumping to the top line just won't happen overnight.The whole team was lacklustre...but i think it was just a bad game, one of those games that happen every now and again.

Good for Ryan Miller and his record at Buffalo. He's one of my favorite players in the league. A great goalie and a seemingly all-around good dude.

it was interesting, the sabres fans who watched the game didnt exactly know what to do following the win.  all i could muster was, 'well, that was strange,' to which most of people nodded their heads in confuzzled agreement.

Huh, that's actually a quite interesting backstory on the slug. People frequently mix up my Sabres buffaslug hat for a Chargers hat, I guess if the slug was inspired by the Bolt people aren't as dumb as I thought.

Ehrhoff has been unarguably the Sabres' best and most consistent defenseman this season. Plus the only one really dangerous from the point.

He's the one Sabres d-man I wouldn't be interested in trading out of the whole lot.

I disagree.  I have found that by listening to the games, rather than watching I get a better feel.  And really all I hear from Ehrhoff is 'turnover', 'misplay', and 'can't corral the puck'.  I have been less than impressed with him all year.

There is a very real possibilty Columbus makes the playoffs this year while New York misses them. Not a likely one, but its there.

Of course, next year both teams will get to light up Mason, so there's that to look forward to.
