`INTO' Canada?
Where he'll get socialized health care after the RCMP shoot him - with one bullet aimed correctly instead of a hail of them like spunk from a frat circle jerk?

Good jorb with the crime control, fatties!

I'm pretty sure they extradite from Canada. Getting over the border on this  side of the country isn't like it is in tag when you can back to base and yell "SAFE!"

If we had such a government we would not have 11-20 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. and they would not be crying for amnesty

Heck no. The answer is to invade Canada in search of the bandit. We'll use the Pancho Villa play book.

Not surprising.  It's just as dangerous up north but the media doesn't pay much attention.  Most of the traffic coming from the south are poor migrant folk looking for work and aren't looking to fight.  When I was a BP agent I'd arrest groups of 15-20 by myself with almost no issues.  Few would run (too tired from days hiking in the desert with little provisions).  The traffic from the north are typically criminals who couldn't legitimately pass inspection at the US/Canadian border and are often trafficking serious drugs and weapons.

yeah a cartel drug war in the south of the US where decapitated bodies are strewn across the road isn't as dangerous as those criminals in Canada.

Easy there, Ontariolightning, I never said it was more dangerous north of the border in Canada than south of the border in Mexico.  I'm saying the illegal traffic coming south is just as bad as the traffic coming north.  A shootout is a shootout.  Yes most of the violence is coming from the south but so is the vast majority of the traffic.  My whole point is you shouldn't be surprised when bad things happen on the northern border.

Clearly the answer is to put up a 10m tall double layer fence with razor wire and 100m of landmines between them with pillboxes mounted every 50m armed with M249s manned 24/7 by expertly trained marksmen and a secondary defense of Hummers patrolling about 1 kilometer apart and armed with IR and night-vision along the entire 8892km of land border with Canada..... AND IT BETTER NOT COST ONE RED CENT!!!! THAT'S JUST WHAT WE NEED; MORE WASTEFUL GOVERNMENT SPENDING!!!!!

NNRTFA, but it reminds me of the episode of "TV Nation", in which Michael Moore points out all the unguarded and uncontrolled border points between Canada and the US. "Now I'm in Canada, now I'm in the US. Now I'm in Canada, now I'm in the US."

Not all of them are crying for amnesty.  Some probably like things just the way they are: lightly patrolled borders easily crossed and re-crossed, random enforcement, no cohesive policy as to who stays or who gets deported (money helps, though)...it's a great system to game.

One thing I don't understand about this: The U.S./Canada border is the longest undefended border in the world.  Nearly 8900 kilometers, and about 2500 of that is Alaska.  119 border crossings.  That's one border crossing every 75 km or so on average, with many crossings much farther apart than that. So tell me:

Why in the everloving FARK do people try to sneak across the border right the fark next to a manned border crossing???
