Man, I really loved "How Bizarre".  I'm glad they're coming back with another album.

How to minimize piracy: Be more convenient than piracy but in a fashion that might still lead to sales.

Not impressed so far. Too fast to relax, too wordy for background, too slow for exercise. Maybe power walking. See, this is exactly why people pirate stuff they're not sure about. If it's the latest album by the Tiger Lillies or Tom Waits I'll buy it out of habit, I know what I'm going to get.

If you just want music hit the CD clearance rack at Half Price and buy things you've never heard of before for $1.

I want that third scene as an animated gif for my wallpaper or whatever you call the background on Android tablets. Hmm, it's an OGV file. Any ideas?

the only album I have of them (the only album I've heard from them, either) is "Dazzle Ships" which I bought back, man, must be a decade or more ago. I liked it a lot! dark, experimental (especially the "filler") tracks, but was still synthy and poppy to fill out that side of it.
People could argue that the exp/filler tracks are skippable, I think they add to the cohesive whole of the album.

Fav songs: .... hmmm I think that all of the songs with vocals are pretty much on the same level of goodness, I particularly like "telegraph", "genetic engineering" and "romance of the telescope" (particularly the last one, reminded me of Joy Division for some reason, but only perhaps because I was listening to "Closer" a lot around that time....)

Sweet, caught them on tour two years ago when  History of Modern was released. Hopefully they'll come into the area again with this album.

Unfortunately that album ended their progressive artistic phase and they vowed never to be so experimental again.

/bought it at 12 and hated it
/dug it out of my collection at 23 and thought it was stunning

Yup, Dazzle Ships is my favourite. Great album. The previous album, Architecture & Morality is really good too, you should check it out. The next album, Junk Culture, was the beginning of the end. A few good tracks, but they started to get really pop-py. Then, of course, Crush came out. Which is a great 80s pop album to be sure, and since I was 15 at the time I loved it. I think it was around this time that McCluskey decided to keep pursuing some kind of ideal pop song he had in his head but couldn't quite translate it into music. The Pacific Age and Sugar Tax are terrible (despite one or two decent songs). I stopped listening after that.

And now this. I like it so far; sounds like they've realized what they were doing right in the first place.

History of Modern was pretty damn good for a "comeback" album. Nothing on it approaches Tesla Girls (what could?) but I'm glad to see them putting out new stuff. I'm with lifeform - Sugar Tax was terrible (except for my guilty pleasure Pandora's Box).

Track 2 sounds very much like Europe Endless by Kraftwerk.

Track 3 sounds like they picked up right where they left off in the 80's...and that's a good thing.

Track 4 reminds me of couple of songs from Yamo's Time Pie album

Listening to Track 5 makes me wonder if they never bothered to buy any new equipment or instruments since 1984.

Track 6 sounds more like what I had expected a new album from them to sound like

Track 7 - sounds like another Kraftwerk tribute song

Track 8-  I hate when bands do this shiat by adding throw away tracks like this

Track 9 - classic OMD sound - good song

Track 10 - almost makes me feel like an 80's kid again

Track 11 - (sigh) another annoying pointless addition

Track 12 - an interesting but....odd sounding song
