fuhfuhfuh: Glad to hear there were no pirates involved. The Saskatchewan river can be know for those at certain times of year.

The NORTH Saskatchewan to be precise, but awesome reference to a great song. To all the dicks trying to ruin this feel good story, fark you sideways, it's not often my city gets on fark and when it's a story like this I feel warm and fuzzy, stop trying to wreck my warm and fuzzies!

sunbelly: And I just choked on an apple slice, coughed it into my lap, and looked up to see one of the directors in my doorway bringing the new girl around to introduce. Many thanks for *that*.

Check to see if you're in a romantic comedy. If so, that's called a "meet-cute," and you're definitely going to get laid eventually.

Dog then shot by cops because it was shaking from the cold; thought the dog was going to attack and they were afraid.

She is missing some essential parts, and is therefore not my type. But she did tell me she liked my dress.

trackerbri: He had to push a retriever into the water?  The water must have been real freaking cold.  My lab/golden mix would have jumped right in as soon as the leash was let go.  Keeping him out of the water was the hard job even in the depths of winter.  He loved swimming in any weather.  He'd gladly have jumped in, mind you he was a bit goofy so he might have taken the girl on a tour of the open water before bringing her in.  Might as well take a swim first right?

I'm looking to get a Newfie and that's pretty much what I'm looking forward to living on the CT river in New England.

Mine is still eating anything and everything. Silly corgi/border collie. :3

My dog would never jump into the water, unless it's muddy.

How in the hell was that a violation? Time to switch from imageshack I suppose.

Heh. My pup has severe separation anxiety, and tears up even things you didn't think him capable of destroying. So we started locking him in the bathroom, since after removing all the mats and dangerous liquids, there was nothing left to destroy (shower is a door, not a curtain). So we get home and what do we find? The bastard clawed and chewed a hole in the wall that would have made Andy Duphraine proud.

The dog willingly came along. The push was just to let the dog know where to go. If the dog had a mind to get back on land there is no way the human could've made him stay in the water while also trying to swim at the same time.

DirtyDeadGhostofEbenezerCooke: "Hey, Rocky! Do you want to see me pull a girl out of the river?"

Again???

The adult male human being pulled the first juvenile female human being out of the water and then he and his adult male canine being proceeded to fall in the water. He then pushed his adult male canine being back up onto the ice and used the adult male canine being's lead to pull himself out of the water. After that he pushed the adult male canine being back into the water so the second juvenile female human being could grab hold of him and hitch a ride back to the ice.

How does anyone read that as the adult male canine being rescuing two juvenile female human beings? The adult male human being rescued both juvenile female human beings using the adult male canine being as a prop - first by climbing over him and then later by using him as a floatation device.

Dog was a husky cross & you can see he has the husky fur so the cold probably didn't faze the dog at all. He was probably better off then the dude who fell in the water & had to run after the 2nd girl all icy wet.
