What's sad is we're running out of people who can say they were born in the 1800s.

timujin: Wow, 113... so during the Roaring 20's, she was in her roaring 20's.  Two world wars, the rise of the automobile, the computer revolution.  Damn, so much change, I can't imagine what the must have been like.  I mean, this woman was "old" when Leave It to Beaver first went on the air.  She was at the average age of death for a women in America when disco was the king of the airwaves.

She was probably one of the last people remaining from the nineteenth century. I remember growing up in the sixties and seventies when "old" meant "born in the 1880's or 1890's".

Darth_Lukecash: FirstNationalBastard: Darth_Lukecash: FirstNationalBastard: Every time someone is proclaimed the oldest person alive, they always die soon afterward.

I think there's a serial killer on the loose.

Don't you feel time gaining on you?

No, but I do find 10 years has got behind me. No one told me when to run... I missed the starting gun.

Hang on to your hopes, my friend. That's an easy thing to say, but if your hope should pass away, simply pretend That you can build them again!

I have my books and my poetry to protect me. I am shielded in my armor. Hiding in my room, safe within my womb, I touch no one and no one touches me.
