I feel so dirty when I watch one of his movies. Glengarry Glen Ross, for example. I'm not sure who deserved an Oscar for that movie but I don't think it was Al Pacino. And yet he got the only Oscar nomination for the film.

I wondered if maybe he got into financial debt somehow, between this mess and the Kevorkian HBO movie he was in.

Pacino's chewing of scenery gets exponentially worse with each thing he does

All of the "m"s were eliminated from my cut and paste, and they were also missing from my own typed text. Weird. Never seen that happen before.

I enjoyed it. But then I enjoy Pacino rants. I also like Dick Tracy because of his time in the film.

I think it might have been one of those life debts. Like someone way back when in his early acting career told him, I'll do this for you but you owe me.

I mark the end of Pacino, the actor, and the beginning of Pacino, the scenery chewer, with the release of Scent of a Woman -- HOO-AHHHHH!

The birth -- Scent of a Woman.  The nurturing -- Heat.  The refinement -- The Devil's Advocate

THIS

The guys wins an Oscar for one of his most hacky performances, because he was overdue and doing the blind thing.

His best performance is still, for my money, Michael Corleone in The Godfather. It's the sort of performance that Oscar doesn't reward. It like flashiness and people being OTT or cripples, but there's so much subtlety to that performance. He beautifully portrays Michael's corruption, but at the same time, his portrayal of Michael's character, from the start, makes it believable. When you see it a second time, knowing how Michael ends up, you see that his character is all there in that moment when he tells Kay about Luca Brazzi.

I have some friends who knew Lana Clarkson (the woman he was convicted of murdering), and if it makes Spector's daughter feel any better, they didn't like it either.

/didn't see it

Good for you, you precious snowflake. This will totally get your father exonerated and bring the woman he brutally murdered back to life. Besides, it's not like she had anything better do, like write the 158th parody of Fifty Shades Of Gray...

Didn't see it, have no intention of seeing it, but...

Lady, your father is a mentally unstable murderer.  How "friendly" and "about the truth" did you think it would be about?
