Subby, don't post links that make me side with Madonna. That makes you an asshole.

I'm a huge Madonna fan and remember first hearing about this guy in like the late 80's. He's a fark up, plain and simple.

But down the page, that BS between Ariel Winter and her mom? That is gawddamn awful. Poor girl.

Pretty much this.  The dude has a long history of alcoholism...and she chooses not to enable him....good for her.  If he's living in the streets that's entirely on him and I won't feel sorry for him.  Sorry if that sounds pitiless but I've dealt with way too many alcoholics in my lifetime...only one has found lasting sobriety.

So?

If I won ONE BILLION DOLLARS tax free tomorrow, I assure you no one in my family would get a nickel. I'd give it to charity first...

Yeah, I really wanted more reasons to dislike her, but this was not one of them.
She did try getting him into rehab before, but it looks like this guy does not want to be helped.

Not only is Madonna's brother a raging alcoholic, but I've read that he has a borderline personality disorder.

"Madonna doesn't give a s**t if I'm dead or alive. She lives in her own world. I never loved her in the first place..."

Ciccone claims the feud began after he refused to seek treatment for alcohol abuse...

Ciccone went on to say that his father, Tony, would be "happy" if he were to die of hypothermia despite regularly dropping him off leftovers on the streets.

A close family friend to the Ciccones, Kathy Meteyer, said the now homeless man was given a job at the family's vineyard but was fired after he was found drinking from the vats on the job.

Meteyer said the family, including Madonna, has paid for multiple trips to rehab for Cicconne but that the alcohol has "taken over his brain.

Yep, this guy's a total waste of flesh. Sounds like the family HAS tried to help him, and it sounds like he keeps throwing it back in their face. Fark this guy.

She could at least send him a bus ticket so he could be homeless somewhere warmer.

2013-04-01 02:01:56 PM
And he say he never gave a shiat about her.
I'd say they're about even.

In what world did someone think it was a good idea to give an off-the-wagon alcoholic a job in a winery?

2013-04-01 02:04:50 PM
She she's offered to pay for rehab in the past, which would lead me to believe that she would gladly do so again if he were ready for the help.  Not really sure what else she can be expected to do.

2013-04-01 02:08:01 PM
there is a point, when they actively refuse help and continue to hurt you financially and emotionally time and time again, that as difficult as it is, you must simply act as those the person has in fact died and cut all ties to them.  no matter how rich you are, its not easy to have your heart stomped on.

2013-04-01 02:08:09 PM
No one gives a shiat about  Madonna, either. What's your point?

2013-04-01 02:08:51 PM
I'm glad I get along with my family for the most part. And that none of them are raging alcoholics. Although heroin made a cameo in the later '90's, early '00's...now we're all back to normal.

Throwing money at an alcoholic who thinks he can fix himself without rehab? Might as well throw the money in the trash.

2013-04-01 02:13:10 PM
The family gave a drunk a job at their vineyard where he had access to the wine vats. BRILLIANT!

I don't know about you guys, but if I had a sister who could be my gravy train meal ticket for life who starts asking, then eventually DEMANDING me to put down the bottle, I'd at least attend any rehab programs she's willing to pay for. I'd think any clinic is a vast upgrade over sleeping on the street.

Does it feel like he's losing his mind? Does he keep on pushing his love over the borderline? (Bor-derline?)

I guess the world Madonna's family lives in... That aside, his claims of being abandoned are falling upon deaf ears. Sounds like the family keeps trying to help, but he doesn't "approve" of the terms.

Sounds like he's not even that self aware. A bit more sociopathic, really- refusing all legitimate offers to help or bailing on actual attempts at true rehab, claiming "family love" is all that's needed. All while defining that family love as "they should enable my destructive behavior, they can afford it."

I don't blame the family at all. At some point you have to cut off the folks who do nothing but suck the life out of you. Even if they are family members. A shame, but it's either that or you'll be an active participant in their destruction, all while receiving nothing but continual trouble for your investment.

What's wrong with her buying him a mobile home and letting him drink himself to death ?

I'd buy him a fully stocked liquor store.

The one thing I have learned in this life is that water sinks to its lowest level.

Dr.Mxyzptlk.: What's wrong with her buying him a mobile home and letting him drink himself to death ?

I can't speak for Madonna, but my own logic would be that my conscience, no matter if it's reasonable or not, would weigh heavily on me if I reached out in one manner or another with catastrophic results. It would make my culpable in my own mind (again, this is emotion, not logic, talking). Maybe it's selfish, but you actually have to tell a person "no" after a while and allow them to fark up their own lives the way they see fit and not give them both infinite chances nor an opportunity to blame you.

In my life, I have severed ties with the above reasoning. I'm far from perfect and have enough issues without constantly absorbing blame for what goes wrong with someone else's life.

"Madonna doesn't give a s**t if I'm dead or alive. She lives in her own world. I never loved her in the first place, she never loved me. We never loved each other," said Ciccone, who recently served a one-month stint in jail after not being able to afford trespassing and public intoxication fines.

If my brother was that completely hopeless I'd consider it a mercy-killing.

Better yet...if I was a billionaire and my brother was this addicted, I'd just pay someone 10 million dollars to lock him up and keep him dry for two years. And if that didn't cure him, then I'd buy him a liquor store and lock him in.

Ciccone claims the feud began after he refused to seek treatment for alcohol abuse

Hopefully he will DIAF sooner rather than later. "Give me your money so I can be an alcoholic bum" is not something I'd respond kindly to either.

Actually it was pictures of Ariel's 34 year old sister, but that's still a nasty thing to do. Mommy dearest was upset that temporary guardianship of Ariel was awarded to Shanelle and this was her attempt at getting back at her.

That's the price for loving an alcoholic.  They'll quit when they're really ready...and the best thing people can do is not enable them.

I lost one of my best friends to alcoholism.  He struggled with it for years....quit for 2 years when he found out he was diabetic (lost part of his foot to gangrene).  I got him a job, I let him move in with me to get his feet on the ground.  I moved into a new place thinking he was on stable ground....he was for about a year.  Then he started drinking again.  He ended up getting fired from the job I got him for being drunk at work...and that was the beginning of the end.  The last 2 years of his life he was drinking a fifth of vodka a day.  He was paying for it by selling off his prized collection of vinyl (worth about $80k).  He had give up his dog...he lost everything.  Near the end a couple people stepped in an tried to help...and he said he didn't care anymore.  It was like Leaving Las Vegas where he just decided he was going to drink himself to death.  He did and I didn't know for about 4 months after he passed because he moved again, his cell was shut off and he didn't have a forwarding number.  One of his friends was going through his stuff and found my number and called me.  It was very sad and heartbreaking.

One of my other buddies...has been sober now for 5 years.  The last time he got caught drunk driving the judge told him he was facing 5 years in jail if he violated probation.  He decided that he'd rather be a father to his son than drink again.  He's the guy I remember from our youth...and I'm happy he's sober.

I was also engaged to an alcoholic...and I didn't know she was until she moved in with me.  I tossed her out for a period and she went to rehab...only to relapse...at which point I tossed her out for good.

I don't feel sorry for alcoholics anymore....yes, it's a disease...but you can't love someone enough to get them to stop drinking.

Yeah. They've tried to help him a bunch and all he really wants to do is mooch and then biatch about Big Rich Celebrity Sister won't put up with him throwing every bit of help back in her face. She will help when he truly wants to lift himself up. As it is all he wants to do is guilt her into handing him shiat.

Came in to mention that. Yeah, so she was trying to get back at her daughter by releasing nude pictures of an underage girl? I don't think mom thought that clever plan all the way through.

And it sure does lend credence to Winter's claims of her mom's douchebaggery...

I wonder how much money drew makes from that craphole. If its not the normal 500 daily fail links that get greened in a month it's bullshiat ones like this that they try to make look like it was from another site.

Just announce the daily fail as the featured partner that it is already and quit treating us like idiots ffs.
