I guess, it depends on what ending they go with.
Ash returns to our world/time and fights new Deadites - Evil Dead 4 : "New Title Goes Here"
Ash sleeps too long but somehow returns to 1300 AD or some other time and has to fight Bad Ash & The Deadite Army - Evil Dead 4 : Army Of Darkness 2

I don't get the love for Army of Darkness exactly.  I mean, I enjoy it, but its pretty much my least favorite of the Evil Dead trilogy.  1 was a nice straight up horror film that's rather impressive for a super cheap first film, 2 is the best horror/comedy ever made, and AoD is... a really goofy medieval action movie.

First time I ever saw it I just came home from a party. I got stoned for the first time that night. AoD was the greatest thing I'd ever seen.

I watched it again recently. It's pretty stupid with some great moments thrown in. Evil Dead 2 is wonderful though.

You want really awful? Check out "My Name is Bruce".

I put "The Gods Must Be Crazy" in this group too. Awesomely good, cheap, bad movies.

Never seen They Still Call Me Bruce. If it's a direct sequel, no thanks.

Man, I haven't seen The Gods Must Be Crazy in years. I may need to watch that one again.

I am still surprised at how many people realisticaly think this will happen. 10 (ten!) years ago Sam Raimi made a joke about how he already planned the opening scene, where it would begun with a close-up of the moon, only to pan back and realize the 'moon' was actually Bruce Cambpell's wrinkled old ass because he's too old to play Ash. Again, that was a full decade ago.

Sure, I'd watch it if they made it. Personally I'd rather see a seroes-concluding installment of "Phantasm" (which coincidentally was once rumored to have a part written for Bruce).

Just this past week, I saw both Tucker and Dale vs. Evil and The Cabin in the Woods for the first time.  I could not believe how great both movies were.  I had no idea what to expect going into Tucker and Dale, except that it was supposed to be a dark comedy.  I really liked how they took the stereotypical redneck killers idea and turned it on its head.

Before seeing Cabin in the Woods, I pretty much knew the gist of the plot, but was still very impressed at the execution.  It managed to hit so many horror tropes perfectly that I was able to predict how certain shots were going to go (jump scare here, creepy person sneaking in background there), and actually smiled when the movie executed everything exactly when and how it should.

As much as I like the Evil Dead movies, I don't see myself watching the new Evil Dead anytime soon.  Not only does it not have the dark comedy aspect of Evil Dead 2, but judging by the Red Band trailer, it embraces the whole gore for gore's sake that modern horror has become.  I just can't get into those kind of movies.

That's what made it a good movie.  The same with Bubba Ho-Tep.  If it had anyone other than Bruce in it, it would have been an awful movie.

Bubba Ho-Tep could have been a good cult film even without Bruce.  There were enough other pieces of it that worked well: a good villain, good writing, and Ossie Davis as JFK.  Bruce certainly added to the film, but he wasn't the only thing making it work.

My Name is Bruce worked solely because he was associated with it.  Ditto, The Man With the Screaming Brain.

I don't completly disagree with you there.  But I do think that Bruce really made that movie work.  Ossie as JFK was just brilliant though.

You don't see many people mention his work in Xena and Hercules a lot. He was really good as Autolycus. I really like Burn Notice. I started watching because o him, and became a huge fan of the series. I missed a chance to meet him years ago at a book signing in Nashville. It'd be cool if he came back some day.

I knew immediately it was a joke but it shouldn't be. After that and his AF joke last year about a ST film of him in command of a starship - Excelsior  I think they need to let George Takei start making movies. I'd buy a ticket for opening day of both

Well Roger Avery (Pulp Fiction co-scribe) actually wrote a treatment for a Phantasm 5 that had Bruce cast as some post-modern warrior that had him fighting alongside Reggie to save Mike and defeat the Tall Man. Unfortunately his treatment was deemed too expensive to film so it eventually ended up in development hell. Too bad, as that could have kicked all kinds of ass if everyone was on board.
